GNSO Review of All Rights Protection Mechanisms in All gTLDs Policy Development Process Phase 1 Final Recommendations for ICANN Board Consideration

Maximal Starting Repertoire Version 5 (MSR-5) for Root Zone Label Generation Rules (RZ-LGR)

ICANN is releasing for public comment version 5 of the Maximal Starting Repertoire (MSR-5: HTML, XML). This version is upwardly compatible with MSR-4 adding one code point each to Latin script and Devanagari script repertoire, and adding two code points to the repertoire of Arabic script. MSR-5 also changes the Unicode base version from 6.3 to 11.0. Under the Procedure to Develop and Maintain Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone with Respect to IDN Labels, the MSR is the starting point for the work by community based Generation Panels developing the Root Zone Label Generation Rules (RZ-LGR) proposals for relevant scripts. The contents of MSR-5 and the detailed rationale behind its development are described in MSR-5 Overview and Rationale document.

Proposed Renewal of the .NAME Registry Agreement

As per the LGR Procedure, this proposal is being posted for public comments to allow those who have not participated in the Latin script GP to make their views known to the GP. Based on the feedback, the Latin script GP will finalize the proposal for submission for integration into the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone.

Proposal for Myanmar Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (LGR)

The Myanmar script community has formed the Myanmar script Generation Panel (GP), which in turn has developed the Proposal for the Myanmar Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules. As per the LGR Procedure, this proposal is being posted for public comments to allow those who have not participated in the Myanmar script GP to make their views known to the GP. Based on the feedback, the Myanmar script GP will finalize the proposal for submission for integration into the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone.

    North America Engagement Plan
