Update for the April 2015 ALAC Meeting.
As previously reported the considerable time being devoted by our volunteers to the time critical matters from the CWG on IANA Transition and the CCWG on ICANN Accountability, has meant that the usual and planned schedule of Metrics WG Meetings has been temporarily postponed, however as we are soon to the point where these commitments will start to ease, we will hold a planning meeting (doodle will be sent out shortly for early August) for WG Leadership and pen holders to conduct a review of projects, activities and plan a fresh schedule, with due reference and noting a clear nexus with the work and objectives of the newly chartered Task Force on ALS Criteria and Expectations: see At-Large ALS Criteria and Expectations Taskforce

Update for the November 2014 ALAC Meeting.
The SC held a face-to-face meeting during the ICANN LA Meeting,

The SC will meet next on Thursday 11 December 2014 and plans to meet monthly from now on.
It is the intention of the SC that it will have prepared for the consideration of the ALAC a DRAFT Paper regarding Expectations, Metrics and Measures for Regional (Leadership) and ALSes, during December 2014.

Update for the September 2014 ALAC Meeting.
The Meeting of the Metrics SC is scheduled for September 24th meeting can be found here, the SC will also be meeting during the LA ICAN #51 meeting
Considerable work has been carried out since the London #50 ICANN Meeting with the Regions voa the Regional Secretaries by Maureen Hilyard in preparation for discussion and development of harmonised Metrics and key performance Criteria across the Regions and on keeping with those expected of the ALAC, for Leadership roles and ALSes, which will now be the primary focus of the SC through to the Marrakech ICANN #52 Meeting in February 2015.

No Teleconference Meetings of the WG/SC was held between the Singapore Meeting #49 and the London #50 Meeting held in June, however during this time the WT leaders continued working directly with the Regional Communities (RALOs and ALSes) on the socialization and development of Metrics and mechanisms proposed for recording and measurement, resulting in a new focus on and adoption of performance expectations and Metrics for ALSes and RALO Leadership in the Rules reviews for the RALOs being carried out over this time and post June.
The 1st major Community Update was held in a reporting session during the ICANN #49 Public Meeting in Singapore, on Sunday 23rd March

A doodle Poll will be sent out shortly to explore a fortnightly meeting schedule, running up to the Buenos Aires Meeting. All Regional Representatives (ALAC and RALO) are urged to work with their Regional ALS Members to ensure each Region is well represented in this WG during this part of the project. Please see this link ALAC Subcommittee on At-Large Metrics Sub Committee to check who is currently registered with staff as members and also please ensure that these people are checked with to ensure their interest in continuing involvement over these next few busy months.

Further work of the Metrics SC is envisaged to begin again between the Beijing and Durban ICANN Meetings with specific focus on the refinement of and details for the Metrics referred to in the proposed new ALAC Rules of Procedure post adoption (to be listed as one of the associated 'adjunct documents')
