Terri Agnew:Welcome to the At-Large Summit II Thematic Groups Coordination call on Friday 30th May 2014 at 15:00 UTC

  Terri Agnew:meeting page: https://community.icann.org/x/zaHhAg

  Allan Skuce:Greetings.

  hong xue:hi,late for me

  Allan Skuce:Sounds good.

  Rafid Fatani:Hello all!

  Leon Sanchez:Hello everyone!

Evan Leibovitch:Didn't mention me on the rollcall

Terri Agnew:HI Evan, I have added you to attendance

  Evan Leibovitch:OK, thanks

  Terri Agnew:Welcome Judith

  judith hellerstein:sorry i am late

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:unfortunately there are no links to any of the documents on the agenda page

Evan Leibovitch:I'm OK with all this. No questions

  Silvia Vivanco:Thematic Groups: https://community.icann.org/display/als2/At-Large+Meetings+-+Saturday%2C+21+June+2014+Workspace

  Silvia Vivanco:This is the Agenda

  Heidi Ullrich:https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ATLAS+II+Thematic+Group+Coordination

Evan Leibovitch:My only question is about the intent for rapporteurs. Is the intent that we simply report on what went on... or should  we be pressing for action items or declarations to be done?

Alan Greenberg:Sorry, just saw notice of this meeting now. Calling in.

  Terri Agnew:Welcome Alan

Leon Sanchez:I would suggest to leave the pressure to moderators and summary to rapporteurs

  Rafid Fatani:I agree with Leon

Leon Sanchez:Maybe outlining the desired outputs by the moderators, push the discussion towards reaching the suggested output or the natural output that results from discussion and having the rapporteurs help us summarize the discussion key points and outcomes

  Terri Agnew:Murray has joined audio

Evan Leibovitch:I agree. But this issue will also drive how the moderatiors treat the session. This means that the final hour or so of the nine will be used to summarize and develop any specific outputs from the group

  Terri Agnew:Welcome Konstantin

Chester Soong:Sorry, I am new to this, amd not sure about the roles and tasks for the reporter, moderator, and assistant moderator. I think someone from the thematic group should be pressing for certain outcome declaration, but should that be the rols of the moderator?

Evan Leibovitch:As Wolf is suggesting, the moderators and reporters should be working as a team.

Evan Leibovitch:The reporters will know as the sessions progress whether it is moving in a direction that can be codified into a statement or resiolution

Rafid Fatani:discussion redirection is the role of the moderator - no?

Leon Sanchez:Yes @Rafid I would think that's the role of both the moderator and the co-moderator

Alan Greenberg:RaFid, Leon. Yes, it should be the moderator, but the reporter need the ability to intervene if they find the direction is wondering or not providing devinitive recs.

Alan Greenberg:With a bit of luck and skill, such interventions should not be needed.

Leon Sanchez:Agree Alan. It's no problem to have the reporter step in if needed

  Evan Leibovitch:+1 Alan & Leon

Alan Greenberg:Has this doc been distributed?

Evan Leibovitch:Wolf, you have done an excellent and quite complete job on this.

  Rafid Fatani:Even 1+

Evan Leibovitch:Alan, it was in email from wolf sent about a week ago

Chester Soong:I agree.  just didn't lknow how to vote through this to show the click.

  Alan Greenberg:Yup. Just found it.

Evan Leibovitch:Click on the arrow next to the "raise hand" icon,. you will see some choices include "agree"

  Chester Soong:yes, found it. Sorry.

  Evan Leibovitch:Hi Konstantin and Judith.

  judith hellerstein:Hi

judith hellerstein:Will see you both later today on the icoc NA call

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:ok

  Silvia Vivanco:https://community.icann.org/display/als2/At-Large+Meetings+-+Saturday%2C+21+June+2014+Workspace

Silvia Vivanco:and you can click and see the meetings

judith hellerstein:So wolf are you saying that the moderators and reporters should meet with the subject matter experts to discuss the session

Heidi Ullrich:Hi All, could we please develop some basic agendas today?

Heidi Ullrich:they can be very basic

Heidi Ullrich:I need agenda for each one of your break out sessions

Heidi Ullrich:agendas are being sent to be translated latest this weekend...

  Heidi Ullrich:For exemple; TG 1 developed 4 questions: https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ATLAS+II+Thematic+Group+on+the+Future+of+Multistakeholderism

Heidi Ullrich:Cheryl, that is the agenda for the plenary

Heidi Ullrich:We could do: 1) INtroduction; 2) review and discussion of question 1; 3) Summary and next steps...

Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):Thank you Terri. Sorry was a bit late on another call.

Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):Hi Evan and Judith.

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:exactly @heidi a light handed general Agenda

Heidi Ullrich:Do you all agree with that?

Heidi Ullrich:so each session gets one question/

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:a few questions 1-3

Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC) Sorry where is the link for the members of each team?

  judith hellerstein:https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ATLAS+II+Thematic+Group+Coordination

Chester Soong:One question per session may not be  enough, but of course we need to manage it and not getting too many and out of control.

  Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):THANK YOU Judith!

Evan Leibovitch:I think the number of questions should be left to the discretion of the moderator/reporter/SME team for each group. One specific answer may not be appropriate for all groups

  Heidi Ullrich:https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ATLAS+II+Participants

  Wolf Ludwig:Agree Evan!

Chester Soong:Agree to Evan's comment. I think members of each group can contribute question(s) to the sessions with few  questions or can think of important ones that the group should discuss.

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:can this chat be captured and copied to us all later in message. I for e.g. can not open any link from AC as I have to use the mobile app with limited features

Evan Leibovitch:judith, you have the floor

  Heidi Ullrich:1 & 3 largest groups[5/29/2014 9:23:07 AM] Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond: 2, 4 & 5 smallest
