Follow up on updated Outreach and Engagement Strategies for each RALO for FY18 | O&E co-chairs | As per the requirements since the Community Regional Outreach Pilot Program (CROPP)-FY16 program, the proposed CROP FY18 requires an updated Outreach Strategic Plan for each RALO. Such Outreach and Engagement Strategies will require approval by RALOs and by the regional Global Stakeholder Engagement (GSE) before any CROP proposals for FY18 can be filed. See CROP FY18 At-Large RALO Outreach Plans page for links to these outreach strategies for FY18. As of July 24 2017, APRALO, LACRALO and NARALO have approved plans in place. |
At-Large Community Onboarding The Community Onboarding Pilot Program is a collaboration between ICANN Organization and ICANN’s Community to more effectively integrate new community members into their volunteer role. The program aims to create a structured, year-round (not meeting focused) onboarding process tailored by and for each community group. The program consists of three main pillars:
Members of the O&E are working to build out this structured onboarding process for At-Large - see At-Large Community Onboarding for the presentations/approach developed to date. | Beran Dondeh Gillen, Isaac Maposa and Dev Anand Teelucksingh have been working on a Community Onboarding Project. See At-Large Community Onboarding for the presentations/approach and content developed to date. Between ICANN58 and ICANN59, the work developed has been shared on the RALO leadership call, RALO monthly calls and ALAC monthly call. To note, this is further building on the work done on the Introduction/promotion of At-Large presentation done by the O&E in the preparation of its sessions with Nextgen

Possible FY18 budget requests - coordinated outreach for IGF2017 - Proposal submitted and approved -see | Glenn McKnight | It was noted that despite a large At-Large presence at IGF 2016 Mexico and a significant opportunity for possible outreach, there was a lack of awareness/promotion of At-Large. Whilst the O&E specific proposal for panel session at IGF2017 was not selected by the IGF MAG, another RALO proposal (APRALO) was approved so the budget request for outreach is still active (Two travelers approved (one Outreach Sub-Committee member and one ALAC Member) for travel support to the IGF 2017 Meeting. Granting of support is contingent on: (1) MAG approval of at least one At-Large RALO workshop; and (2) submission of a detailed report from each traveler within 30-days of the meeting that addresses each itemized metric as per request. The report is to be submitted to sbr-outcomes@icann.org and is a condition of future resource allocations. Approved travel includes assumption of economy airfare + four travel days and three hotel nights + per diems appropriate to region traveled.) |
