The At-Large Consolidated Policy WG held a single issue call on the ISOC-PIR issue on Wednesday, 04 December. Over 70 participants from the At-Large community participated very actively in the call. The next steps will be a small group will work on a statement which will be sent to the Board in time for the 30 day review. The statement to consist of two parts: 1) Process questions re: comments - Mozilla, et al, and 2) Identify commitments the At-Large would like ICANN to make, if they did approve the sale. ID enforceable commitments for new contract with PIR (Commitments from 2002 agreement and whether they can be built into the new contract). To assess whether have created mission-driven TLD or not, if not ask them to redelegate .NGO. 

The weekly Consolidated Policy Working Group (CPWG) meeting on 11 December featured updates regarding the ISOC-PIR issue and plans for a second single issue call the week of 16 December. The ALAC Advice being developed consists of two parts: 1) Process questions re: comments - Mozilla, et al, and 2) Identify commitments the At-Large would like ICANN to make, if they did approve the sale. ID enforceable commitments for new contract with PIR (Commitments from 2002 agreement and whether they can be built into the new contract). To assess whether have created mission-driven TLD or not, if not ask them to redelegate .NGO. In addition, the CPWG discussed finalizing ALAC Advice on DNS Abuse, as well as discussions on SubPro, EPDP II, and At-Large policy comments. The CPWG is also discussing their charter and workflow, as well as an At-Large GeoNames Survey to gather At-Large consensus on the topic.
