  2. Dear Tijani,

Thank you very much for your fantastic work! I have only three comments.

Regarding 1.0 - ALS details. This is the point of misunderstanding between representatives of differenet cultures. As for me, it's absolutely necessary to know  who represents each ALS, what authorities he/she has, what are his/her responsibilities? Are there any possible rooms for the conflict of interests?

But some representatives of other ALSes prioritized the privacy issues - no names, no contacts(

    Second comments:

    Regarding 3.0

Did you need any trainiang/learning while joining At-Large? If yes - List examples and your expactations about who had to provide you these support.

Did you receive it? If yes - List examples - first of all from whom

The third my comment is about horizontal capacity building:

Do your ALS have working ties with other ALSes? If yes - List, examples

Do you need them? If yes - please explain

What are the privileges and challenges for such horizontal ties?

What is the role of ICANN in it? Or what is the role of different ICANN constituencies?

Once again thank you very much,

    Oksana

  3. If I can make a comment about the horizontal ties which I think is a good inclusion.

Within PICISOC which is an ALS on its own.. we are encouraging the development of more ALSes within our membership.

We now have an ALS in the Cook Islands, Niue, and Fiji and encouraging more. All these ALSes consist of members of PICISOC.

Therefore these contacts under the PICISOC umbrella could be good for our region, because we can add training into our infrequent gatherings.. but we can also provide them online or through our email list.

I like Tijani's model that gives options that can help us to focus on specific areas for capacity building if required

    Maureen

  4. Tijani suggestions are good and some concerns that I wanted to make are considered by colleagues.
Just to know if there is a dateline to send all this information?

    1. Yes Baudouin - deadline is maximum within the next 7 days.

      1. thanks Olivier, I will do so

  5. Thank you all for your comments

Since you weren't on the last week call, I would like to inform you that our WG proposed to add a short section in the ATLAS II survey deducated exclusively to the purpose of the preparation of the ALSes for the ATLAS II summit.

So, if our proposal is accepted by the ATLAS II WG, we will pospone our comprehensive survey to avoid confusion for the ALSes and we will pick the elements useful for our urgent task of preparing the ALSes for the Summit and add them to the ATLAS II survey.

I'm working with Dev and Carlos on the short section and I will post it very soon for your comments.

    Think you all

The survey group should consider to include in section 2 of the survey: - how many persons in the ALS are involved in ICANN policy issues (and how) and - how many other persons in the ALS would be interested in ICANN policy issues within a certain time period. This would be a useful metric to see how successful our capacity building would be.. Dev Anand
