  Silvia Vivanco:Hello all

  Fatima Cambronero:hello all

Eduardo Diaz:There is noise in the background

Heidi Ullrich:Olivier, Adigo is getting vm for you

Natalia Enciso:Hello, now on the AC as well

  Roberto:review the revised?!?!

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:ok back

  Sandra Hoferichter:Hi all!

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:shall we start?

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Over to yiu OCL...

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:I'm here on the AC audio

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Over to you OCL

Eduardo Diaz:Why did we have to go to the PPC? What do they do?

Eduardo Diaz:Do they have a role in the approval of the budget?

Eduardo Diaz:THnak you for the explanation.

  Siranush Vardanyan:yes

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Yes, we can scroll

  Satish Babu:Yes

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:I have trouble hearing Yaovi

  Satish Babu:No audio...

Eduardo Diaz:YAovi is hard to understand. CAn some one re-state?

Nathalie  Peregrine:Yaovi, are you using a speaker phone?

Yaovi Atohoun:27 instead of 27 June

  Yaovi Atohoun:I am also disconnected

Yaovi Atohoun:instead of 2- as the end of the summit

  Nathalie  Peregrine:dialling you back

Satish Babu:I seem to have lost audio on AC...

  Satish Babu:Got back the audio

Evan Leibovitch:hi there. just joined, I'm on the call now.

  Nathalie  Peregrine:Hello!

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hi Evan

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:  Yes  Edwardo  Mentoring  or Sun=ubject leads  would be good

Heidi Ullrich:Excellent idea! Should I include that in the revised proposal?

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:yes please Heidi

Evan Leibovitch:I agree with Tijani. I think the final objectives of the summit are getting blurred. It's sounding more like the Academy

Eduardo Diaz:I think that the survey that will be put together will drive these plenaries and other meetings.

Evan Leibovitch:cheryl, did i hear you say you lost audio?

Nathalie  Peregrine:Cheryl is still connected on the bridge

Nathalie  Peregrine:and she's dropped, we're dialling her back

  Jean-Jacques Subrenat:Hello All, I've only come online.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hi JJS

Sandra Hoferichter:I propose to agree on an overarching theme for the summit, which gives a direction on what the output deal with

Sandra Hoferichter:discussing the what is the public interest could be a topic, we just started the discussion about it during the last ALAC / Board meeting

Eduardo Diaz:Darlene just mention what I was more or less going to say

Sandra Hoferichter:@ Darlene: The ACADEMY is much more than a leadershop training only

Eduardo Diaz:How are you going to understand policy issues if you do not ICANN work at all? You need some capacity building for the new ALAs in order to get them engaged in policy work.

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:irrelevant

Evan Leibovitch:So, Olivier, you're not asking about  "what" .... rather than "how much time do we need"?

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:yes

Evan Leibovitch:To the objective of developing policy, the stages should be:

Evan Leibovitch:1) Introduce the people to each other

Evan Leibovitch:2) Find out the skills and interests of the participants

Evan Leibovitch:3) Introduce the issues that need attention

Evan Leibovitch:4) Immerse At-Large members in the subjects, inside broader ICANN, involving the other stakeholder groups

  Evan Leibovitch:5) Churn policy

Heidi Ullrich:@Tijani/All, there will be various rooms available for At-Large Monday through Wednesday (including interpretation).

Sandra Hoferichter:Not during this call, but afterwards

Heidi Ullrich:There will not be extra rooms available (outside of the large plenary/working session) available on the weekend

  Jean-Jacques Subrenat:Olivier...

Evan Leibovitch:That indicates a Summit that starts segregated from the rest of the meeting (and probably precedes it), then immerses its members within the ICANN meeting, then develops policy advice outcomes

Evan Leibovitch:BTW, I am uncomfortable with the wording of Purpose item #4. The Summit does not exist to make ICANN  "look good". There should be a slight re-wording so that the publicity value of the Summit is implicit rather than explicit,

  Jean-Jacques Subrenat:Evan +1

Heidi Ullrich:The budget is slightly revised - to add one extra night for the several normally fudned people to arrive on Friday night prior to the start of the summit

Eduardo Diaz:@Evan:  Any suggestion as to the #4 rewording?

baudouin schombe:I think it would be practical it is also granted to the ALS to present their concerns during the show case. It is important that during the ATLAS II a consistent assessment is made. With a program that takes into account different problematic identified and proposed by ALS, it is possible to collect these problems that connaisent ALS in their regions and countries that may form the basis of data that must be updated at each step.

Evan Leibovitch:Not major.. perhaps as simple as change "Allow ICANN to showcase" to   "maximize  the effectiveness of"

  Sandra Hoferichter:sorry

Jean-Jacques Subrenat:@Eduardo @Evan: something like "In an evolving global environment of Internet governance, it is important to defend and illustrate the multi-stakeholder model. In this sense, the concerns and perspective of the general Internet user needs to be highlited, and discussed in a more thorough way".

  Jean-Jacques Subrenat:(need, not needs)

Heidi Ullrich:Tijanie, the large room could be broken into different spaces for small groups

Evan Leibovitch:+1Heidi. I have seen that done effectively elsewhere.

  Eduardo Diaz:@jj +1

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:@Heidi - "to add one extra night for the several normally fudned people to arrive on Friday night prior to the start of the summit" - I don't understand, isn't this to add an extra night so that ALAC, regional leaders can attend the Friday 27 June 2014 ALAC wrap up meeting ?

Jean-Jacques Subrenat:@ Yaovi +1, when he underlines the importance of the common, community-wide sessions.

Eduardo Diaz: Yaovi - you sound like you are inside a box with to much reverberation. Hard to undersatnd. CAn some one restate please?

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Re: breaking room into different spaces - can work, however with the understanding that remote participation would not work

baudouin schombe:regarding the visa, it is desirable that ICANN provides all necessary to diplomatic representations of the UK information to facilitate the process of issuing visas.

Satish Babu:In my opinion, it may be better to defer discussions on details until later, and stick to the high-level concerns for the present...

Nathalie  Peregrine:we're dialling you back Baudouin

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Dev  we can think outside the AC box   re  break out and remote participation I think  *althiugh AC  doez have break out room capabilities  there are planning and logistics  issues  we perhaps need to talk to verizon re that EARLY...

Olivier Crepin-Leblond:yes but local AV infrastructure may notsupport break-out

Evan Leibovitch:+1 @Roberto. Fadi has often talked about the lack of a multi-EQUAL-stakeholder model

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Well said  Roberto

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes  the Multi EQUAL model ;-)

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:@Cheryl - if everyone was in the AC room....perhaps, but the wider issue would be lack of interpretation in the different groups/spaces in the room and the difficulty of recording the breakout groups in one room

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:when I've done it the sacrifice IS  to have a mix of language  clusgtered groups  or a local onsite speaker of languages  helping in Chat mode

Cheryl Langdon-Orr:again this is weeds  nio forest

  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:yep

  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:agreeed ;-)

Evan Leibovitch:Olivier - we haven't done metrixcs because it's clear we don't know what we're measuring.

Roberto:We can suggest metrics in the mailing list

Roberto:The mother of all measures: number of lines of code!

Jean-Jacques Subrenat:Yes: overarching "the global public interest" (this comes from a long way back now, we started in the President's Strategy Committee, AoC, ATRT, etc) and some areas where it can be developed (Internet rights, privacy rights...)

  Roberto:@JJS +1

  Jean-Jacques Subrenat:@ Cheryl +1 !

Eduardo Diaz:What is the role of the co-chairs?

  Eduardo Diaz:What is the difference between a co-cjair and a vice-chair?

Yaovi Atohoun:Please call me back on +229 97891228

  Eduardo Diaz:Thanks for the explanation

  Nathalie  Peregrine:dialling you back

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:I'll happy to be a co-chair

baudouin schombe:I propose that for the themes to serve the backbone of debates must first be discussed within RALO.

  Jean-Jacques Subrenat:Olivier, Dev is willing to co-chair

Dev Anand Teelucksingh:I'll volunteer to be a co-chair, also

Eduardo Diaz:I could get through for some reason...

Eduardo Diaz:But I would like to co-chair/chair as it fits.

Fatima Cambronero:is it only for alac members?

Nathalie  Peregrine:@Yaovi, there is no answer on the number you provided

Yaovi Atohoun:Please try the one you were using before

Nathalie  Peregrine:we are doing so Yaovi

  Heidi Ullrich:LOL - Cheryl! ;)

Siranush Vardanyan:Cheryl is the voice from all female

  Siranush Vardanyan::)

Fatima Cambronero:I did a question here:  is this position only for alac members?

  Fatima Cambronero:chair I mean

  Fatima Cambronero:co.chair sorry

Evan Leibovitch:I'm happy to serve, at a subcommittee level.

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:No Fatima, all possible

  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:not only ALAC members

Eduardo Diaz:@Fatima: you can  get involved in helping with this group

  Fatima Cambronero:I will @Eduardo, thanks

  Roberto:June 27 is in 2 months

  Eduardo Diaz:same day and hour!

  Eduardo Diaz:willl work great

  Gisella Gruber-White:Tuesday 14 May at 1400 UTC?

Siranush Vardanyan:can we have dodle for timing

Gisella Gruber-White:We will send a Doodle poll out for Tuesday 14 May with a wide range of options!

  Siranush Vardanyan:great:)

Siranush Vardanyan:thanks everyone, have a nice day
