Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Hello everyone!
Nathalie Peregrine:P;ease note, there is no audio in the AC room for this call, please dial into Adigo 1638.
Gordon Chillcott:Good morning, Dev
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Good morning Gordon!
Jose Arce:Good Morning all
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Morning Jose
Jose Arce:Hi Dev, how are you
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:good
Jose Arce:https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Technology+Taskforce+WG+29-05-2012
Jose Arce:I think that ICANN already has Social Media Strategy, we can start see that
Matt Ashtiani:I confirm that all ALSes are subscribed to their regional lists as well as the ALAC Announce mailing list
Heidi Ullrich:Gordon, could you please speak up?
Heidi Ullrich:In an informal survey in Dakar among ALAC members and At-Large officers, more people in the room used LinkedIn than FB or Twitter.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:oh well - there you go! :-)
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:You better get on LinkedIn, Dev!
Gordon Chillcott:Sorry, Heidi - it was "slashdot"
Heidi Ullrich:thanks!
Heidi Ullrich:Matt and I are not familiar with that. We'll look it up.

Heidi Ullrich:Thanks, Jose and Dev!
Jose Arce::)
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:This is already a first problem: putting your hand up on a tablet. Also, seeing hands that are up from a tablet. It appears there is a technical problem with that
Jose Arce:http://www.atlarge.icann.org/
Jose Arce:the new GNSO web site - http://gnso.icann.org/ is agreat example.
Heidi Ullrich:Recently updated GNSO website: http://gnso.icann.org/
Heidi Ullrich:We have 12 volunteers
Heidi Ullrich:The interviews are being scheduled.
Heidi Ullrich:Jose, you are very fast!!
Jose Arce::)
Sivasubramanian M:At Large website is populated with links to statement in front page, when we work on a new web design, we might think of summarized posts of issues in question, as a part of which the links to statements / draft statements could appear. This would ensure that the At Large website makes sense for the average visitor
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Indeed. It's a lot of input they are receiving from all 5 regions.
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:yes excellent suggestion Titi. A one stop shop for all resources to be available online
Jose Arce:I can not speak sorry, but i Agree
Sivasubramanian M:Community inputs in one language could be tranlated as far as possible by the community members themselves. Often someone who writes a message in the spanish list is adept in English, so if the translation interface is modified to allow the user to modify / correct machine tranlation, the corrected tranlation could be posted in the other language list\
Heidi Ullrich:At-Large wiki pages now also have a translation tool that translates the entire page, including comments, into several choices of languages.
Heidi Ullrich:This tool is available at the top if the At-Large wiki pages directly under the title of the page.
Sivasubramanian M:When the person who writes the message is not proficient in the other language, then another member in the list could volunteer corrections to the machine tranlated messge that appears in the list by referring to the source list
Sivasubramanian M:AT our level we could try all this, make suitable interfaces available, and where it become very difficult, ICANN's technical support could be sought - in case of important statements
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:The problem, Siva, is that this is a hindrance for fast dialogue
Sivasubramanian M:Yes, but this is an interim solution to overcome the existing limitations, which otherwise leave us in a situation of fast misunderstandings :)
Jose Arce:@ Gordon +1
Jose Arce:than we can add others if is necessary
Gordon Chillcott:Agreed.
Heidi Ullrich:Thanks, Dev for chairing. Thanks everyone for your input!
Jose Arce:Thanks Dev !!!! Bye all
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Thanks everyone!
Sivasubramanian M:Thanks Dev
