The technology task force working group had a conference call on 09 September 2013 to test the GoMeetNow web conferencing solution.

TTF Persons on the call : Dev Anand TeelucksinghGordon ChillcottGlenn McKnight

Some of the notes from the meeting:

  • Windows users required a small download to install http://www.gomeetnow.com/web_conferencing/online_presentation_get_started.html#host_meeting. Linux was not supported, GC used his tablet which supported Flash
  • On starting the meeting, presenters immediately share their desktop with all participants.
  • GM used his webcam which worked properly.
  • The presenter can annotate his/her screen. The program takes a screenshot of the desktop which can be marked up.
  • The Windows client allows persons to public amd private chat and to raise hands.
  • GM noted that the full version has support for polling and surveying which is not available in the evaluation test. https://www.gomeetnow.com/web_conferencing/online_meeting_features.html
  • Session can be recorded.
  • File Transfer also works
  • Video was played but no sound was heard by participants and was seen by participants as choppy.
  • No easy way of seeing an agenda unless presenter prepared a PDF or browser tab of the agenda on his/her desktop. Ultimately, the presenter has to prepare his/her desktop carefully to display agenda, other related content and the GoMeetNow client to see chat and speakers' queue

  • No labels
