Universal Acceptance Roadmap for Registry and Registrar Systems | EXTENDED: 31 October 2022 CPWG

Status: RATIFICATION IN PROGRESS

Universal Acceptance Steering Group has developed a general Universal Acceptance Readiness (UA) Framework. A study is conducted using this framework to determine which functions of registry and registrar systems may need to be reviewed to support UA of domain names and email addresses. This Public Comment proceeding seeks input on the results and the possible UA Roadmap for registries and registrars which intend to make their systems UA-ready.

Pilot Holistic Review Draft Terms of Reference | EXTENDED: 10 November 2022 OFB-WG

Status: RATIFIED

ATRT3 recommendation 3.5 called for the setup of a new Holistic Review. ICANN Board approved the recommendation, and a Pilot Holistic Review Terms of Reference (ToR) Team was formed in February 2022 to draft the ToR with ICANN org’s facilitation. The Pilot Holistic Review ToR Team finished the draft ToR in June 2022. This proceeding seeks community input on the Pilot Holistic Review ToR for the eventual initiation of the Pilot Holistic Review.

Not-for-Profit Operational Concerns Constituency Charter Amendments | Close: 14 November 2022 OFB-WG

On 9 May 2022, the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Not-for-Profit Operational Concerns (NPOC) Constituency amended its charter and notified ICANN org of its request for approval by the ICANN Board. This Public Comment proceeding will allow ICANN to obtain community input on proposed amendments to the NPOC charter.

Proposed Amendments to the Base gTLD RA and RAA to Add RDAP Contract Obligations | EXTENDED: 16 November 2022 CPWG

ICANN org is posting for Public Comment proposed amendments to the base gTLD Registry Agreement (RA) and 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA). These proposed amendments specify operational requirements for the Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) to deliver the Registration Data Directory Services (RDDS) and to phase out certain obligations to provide RDDS via the WHOIS protocol.

Draft IANA and PTI FY24 Operating Plan and Budgets | EXTENDED: 17 November 2022 OFB-WG

Status: RATIFICATION IN PROGRESS

PTI is an affiliate of ICANN and, through contracts and subcontracts with ICANN, is responsible for the operations of the IANA functions. PTI has its own Bylaws that require the organization to develop its own annual PTI OP& B. The PTI OP&B includes all costs directly related to the delivery of the IANA services: performing day-to-day operations, developing and evolving tools and systems, reporting on performance and customer satisfaction, and maintaining the security and integrity of key elements of Internet infrastructure.

Proposed Amendments to the SLA for the IANA Numbering Services | Close: 18 November 2022 CPWG 

Status: NO COMMENT

Input needed on if there is support for the proposed amendment to the Service Level Agreement for the IANA Numbering Services as agreed to between ICANN org and the Regional Internet Registries.

Registration Data Consensus Policy for gTLDs |  EXTENDED: 21 November 2022 CPWG

Status: UNDER REVIEW

ICANN org worked with the community-based Implementation Review Team to produce the proposed Registration Data Policy for gTLDs and its implementation plan. This proceeding seeks community input on the implementation plan for the EPDP Phase 1 recommendations adopted on 15 May 2019, the EPDP Phase 2 Priority 2 recommendations adopted on 21 June 2021 and the EPDP Phase 1 GNSO Council Supplemental Recommendation 12 adopted on 24 February 2022. 

Initial Report on the Second CSC Effectiveness Review | EXTENDED: 1 December 2022 OFB-WG

Status: NO COMMENT

The Team is seeking input on its findings and recommendations, at sections 4 and 5 of the Initial Report. Section 4 contains the findings and recommendations pertaining to the effectiveness of the CSC in performing its tasks as listed in the CSC charter and whether the CSC has implemented the recommendations of the first CSC Effectiveness Review. In Section 5 of the report, the Team presents its findings and recommendations on seven additional topics which were identified and which could impact the future effectiveness of the CSC.
