Heidi Ullrich:Welcome to the first ATLAS 2 Meeting!
Juan Manuel Rojas:Thanks Heidi. Good afternoon/evening to all
Gisella Gruber-White:Reminder - *6 to mute and *7 to unmute
  Eduardo Diaz:¡Hola again!
Roberto:I'm also on the phone, but muted
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Hello everyone!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hi all  I'm  muted atm  the city is starting to wake  here and it is getting noisy
  Jordi Iparraguirre (isoc.cat):hi everyone
  Gisella Gruber-White:Thanks Cheryl
Juan Manuel Rojas: Sorry. I was thinking that I was already muted
  Heidi Ullrich:ATLAS 2 Workspace: https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=39420675
Gisella Gruber-White:@ Cheryl - front desk says your line is busy
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:err  OK  I've  re Hung up the handset
Heidi Ullrich:Pastor Peters, your name was mentioned
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Yes  you are noted
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:http://www.atlarge.icann.org/summit/program-en.htm
  Gisella Gruber-White:Welcome Evan
Evan Leibovitch:may not be here for long, but at least briefly
Juan Manuel Rojas:I hear cut off sound from CLO
Gisella Gruber-White:@ Juan Manuel - It may be your computer - no cut off here
Juan Manuel Rojas:I am not by pc.. but phone
Gisella Gruber-White:@ Juan Manuel - apologies - will get the operator to check your line
  Heidi Ullrich:Board Resoluion congratulating At-Large for a successful At-Large Summit: http://www.icann.org/en/groups/board/documents/resolutions-06mar09-en.htm#16
Juan Manuel Rojas:I will try to follow by audio bridge on AC. ;)
  Gisella Gruber-White:Thank you Juan Manuel\
  Heidi Ullrich:At-Large Summit Declaration: http://www.atlarge.icann.org/node/16343
Heidi Ullrich:This document will also be submitted to the PPC and the BFC for review in Beijing
Heidi Ullrich:Olivier and I will be presenting it to these two Board committees
  Sandra Hoferichter:Hi ll.
  Heidi Ullrich:Currently 154 ALSes
  Wolf Ludwig:PPC?
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Public Participation Committee
Evan Leibovitch:It was, however, somewhat demoralizing that the ATLAS1 result document received not so much as a "received" message from the Board, let alone thanks, let alone consideration. There is reason to believce that the 2014 Board and CEO will be significantly more receptive.
  Heidi Ullrich:Public Participation Committee
Heidi Ullrich:Are all of you able to scroll?
  Wolf Ludwig:Thanks Heidi.
  Sandra Hoferichter:I can scroll
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:http://www.atlarge.icann.org/summit-en.htm has a lot of material from the 2009 Summit including videos
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:can scroll
Heidi Ullrich:There will be two plenaries on Saturday and Sunday
Heidi Ullrich:so all ALSes will be together on Saturday and Sunday
Juan Manuel Rojas:I believe that we must create some objectives for this Summit, more than Capacity Building. What we are looking for doing this Summit
Heidi Ullrich:However, Working Groups and RALO General Assemblies will be held Monday through Wednesday
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:interpretation in all 6 UN languages for each plenary session ?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:You should  note too that the ATLAS Declaration(s)  were later 'finessed'  subject to ALAC and At-Large community full review and became Statements of the ALAC/Advice to the Board which was also an empowering exercise and a Foundation for several of or Policy key stones
Heidi Ullrich:We are asking for ES/FR/AR/ZH
Wolf Ludwig:We conducted a survey amonf ALSes for the agenda and program -- and it was far more than CB!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:True Wolf  but it was the start of  unified CB as well
Juan Manuel Rojas:It was good if on this Summit, maybe we could disccuss about RoP (for example)
  Eduardo Diaz:What is CB?
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Capacity Building
Wolf Ludwig: just CB wouldn't be enough to me.
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Capacity Bld
Wolf Ludwig:IMO it should cover broader issues than At-Large!
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:One thing that comes to mind, currently we have 154 ALSes - we should perhaps cater for 160 ALSes to cater for the organisations that will be joining At-Large
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:before the summit
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:between now and the summit, sorry
Heidi Ullrich:@Dev, during the first Summit, approximately 10% of the ALSes did not send a representative
  Roberto:@dev at least 160
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:ah
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:true, and I remember the surveys that had to be filled out as a pre-condition
  Gisella Gruber-White:Welcome Sandra!
Heidi Ullrich:It will be very central London - close to two major parks!
Juan Manuel Rojas:It is true that many ALS will must visas to go to London.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:of course  Wolf  nowdays with more CB  already  done in each of the RALOs (in their GA's etc)  already having happened since ATLAS  again  as well as far more within ICANN per se just think of the regular Policy Briefing webinars now happening not then, we would/should  shunt new comer integration into where it already belongs and runs any way  BUT  our  size in a ATLAS2 may  mean rather than  'us' joining say newcomer streams / Fellowship activity  they might be joining 'us'
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:from a logistics POV
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:HUGE  week
Juan Manuel Rojas:We are having some filters to ALS or not to participate on Summit (question).
Wolf Ludwig:We have to try both, Cheryl, to integrate newbies and follow-up Summit 1 ...
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Agreeed  Wolf
Wolf Ludwig:Thaat's the big challenge for version 2!
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:but also the advantage  for ATLAS 2 is where we are now  with things like  ICANN Academy  greater  interactivity and outreach ICANN wide   open WG's in the SO's  cross cimmunity WG's and experiences  etc., etc., etc.,  ;-)
Gisella Gruber-White:@ Evan - your line has been muted
  Evan Leibovitch:need to exitOK
Wolf Ludwig:The whole planning will be far more complex, I guess.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:indeed it will need to be
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Indeed
Evan Leibovitch:I have muted from my end.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and remote participation is SO much better  now than in 2009
  Heidi Ullrich:Correct, Cheryl. Good point
Heidi Ullrich:I believe there were 92 ALSes at the first Summit
Wolf Ludwig:It's a modest estimate IMO.
Roberto:the budget seems to have calculation based on 6 nights
  Heidi Ullrich:Summit starts Saturday
  Heidi Ullrich:For ATLAS 2
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Correct  but  that was  hard to get/establish  Yes  Correct  only  Prep team  Friday night before was covered
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:I remember as I personally covered my room  from the Tue before as I had so much to do *sigh*
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and  yes  Heidi  92 of 112 (then) ALSes  were represented
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Makes  sense  as  we ARE  good PR  now ;-)
Wolf Ludwig:If we invite "extrenal" speakers to the Summit -- we have to include them into our budget?
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:or have them specifically sponsored  yes
Heidi Ullrich:@Wolf, what kind of external speakers might these be?
Wolf Ludwig:Obama or Vint Cerf or ....
  Heidi Ullrich::)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Vints  security is easier to manage
Wolf Ludwig:.... people not from the ICANN VIPs ...
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Hi Carlos
  Wolf Ludwig:godd point, Cheryl :-)))
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:WELCOME!
  Eduardo Diaz:Welcome aborad!
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Welcome, Carlos
  Jordi Iparraguirre (isoc.cat):welcome Carlos!
  Juan Manuel Rojas:Welcome Carlos!
Heidi Ullrich:and Carlos has worked to organize G8 Youth Forums so know a thing or two about organizing large global events :)
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Excellent  credentials  indeed
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Can  I respod  to Juan
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:you're next Cheryl
Wolf Ludwig:I think we can count with 10 per cent "not respondings/attendings" at each RALO?
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Indeed, it was because of the summit, and because of the involvement in WG3, then I got more involved
  Heidi Ullrich:Did we lose Cheryl?
  Heidi Ullrich:sorry, I dropped
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:yes you dropped
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Cheryl is fine and clear
  Wolf Ludwig:Could speak louder!
Heidi Ullrich:Staff bio of Carlos: http://www.icann.org/en/about/staff/reyes.htm
  Juan Manuel Rojas:Thanks CLO
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:my hand  will go up again  in a moment  however ;-)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:that  survey of interests  we did  then  is still echoed in the registration form for any ICANN meeting ;-)
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:The At-Large Top 10 Issues
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:At-Large Survey II ?
  Olivier Crepin-Leblond:https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/ALAC+Top+10+Issues
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:all of thre above
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:several Regions  have sinced  also formally or informally  run surveys on onterest
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:we have  MORE  effective  RALOs  now
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:do not forget that either
Wolf Ludwig:Agreed, Cheryl, but the majority of our members are not - yet - enough closely involved ...
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and to Internet Governance more generally
Wolf Ludwig:The current Top 10 issues are rather specific for many.
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Yes  wolf  but we still need to focus  on the Current ICANN Strat plan and focus points
Juan Manuel Rojas:Maybe Survey made by ICANN Academy it fits for us
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:yes  do NIT  duplicate  our other WG activities
Wolf Ludwig:This was another target group, Manuel.
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Work SMART not Hard
Sandra Hoferichter:I would not concentrate on CB and by this I mean  I mean educational CB
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:we also need to ensure best possible integration within  the ICANN meeting
Sandra Hoferichter:Inreach and policy discussion is key for this event
  Wolf Ludwig:Important, Cheryl!
Sandra Hoferichter:as OCL just mention CB is offered anywhere
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Sure  happy to help
Dev Anand Teelucksingh:perhaps some sorting of attendees to follow different tracks of activity during the Summit/meeting
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:and  post  London meeting
Wolf Ludwig:Carlton was crucial for the Summit 1 report and recommendations.
Wolf Ludwig:With the survey we could start in Durban?
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:Wolf -- yes, good proposal
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:agree
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Yes  yiu should see my calendar *shudder*
Wolf Ludwig:That was my idea ;-)
  Cheryl Langdon-Orr:LOL
Heidi Ullrich:Work smarter, not harder ;)!
Eduardo Diaz:It would not hurt to do the survey  even if the ATLAS II is not approved
  Wolf Ludwig:That's another consideration, Eduardo.
Wolf Ludwig:Can prepare a first outline and idea before Durban, if desired?
  Roberto:some plastic surgery would help
Wolf Ludwig:We had to convince him for thw 1st Summit ;-)
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:LOL  Roberto  yiu and me bith
Cheryl Langdon-Orr:Not ready for that yet
  Juan Manuel Rojas:agree
  Wolf Ludwig:End of April?
  Roberto:22nd
  Wolf Ludwig:very end!
Juan Manuel Rojas:From 29 week it maybe netter
  Wolf Ludwig:Yes Juan.
  Wolf Ludwig:Working Day!
Roberto:1 may holiday, but also my daughter's birthday!!!
  Wolf Ludwig:Historical event! :-)
  Dev Anand Teelucksingh:Take care all
