Description:

  •  Speaking order for The art of persuasion - Alan, Maureen, Olivier and Cheryl. Then open to discussion (30 mins).
  •  Hadia opens. Sandra facilitate the roundtable the discussion. Questions to be developed to spark discussion for the roundtable.

This workshop will feature a panel discussion with the current ALAC Chair, Maureen Hilyard, as well as the three previous ALAC Chairs Alan Greenberg, Olivier Crepin-Leblond and Cheryl Langdon-Orr, as they share anecdotes about how they have used the art of persuasion to shift a person/group into alignment.

Following this, a roundtable discussion with the panelists will allow for further learning about which tools, ideas, and concepts they used to maximize the usefulness of their skills of persuasion.

All participants will have an opportunity to actively contribute through posting their inputs on an exclusive jamboard that will contribute to the production of At-Large community resources.  The link to the jamboard will be sent closer to the date of the Workshop.

The series “The Art of …” will continue with

  • The Art of Leadership
  • The Art of Party
  • The Art of Decision-making

Of course, all of the above will be within the ICANN context.
