Proposal for Latin Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (LGR)

The Latin script community has formed the Latin script Generation Panel (GP), which in turn has developed the Proposal for the Latin Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules. As per the LGR Procedure, this proposal is being posted for public comments to allow those who have not participated in the Latin script GP to make their views known to the GP. Based on the feedback, the Latin script GP will finalize the proposal for submission for integration into the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone.

Proposal for Myanmar Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (LGR)

The Myanmar script community has formed the Myanmar script Generation Panel (GP), which in turn has developed the Proposal for the Myanmar Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules. As per the LGR Procedure, this proposal is being posted for public comments to allow those who have not participated in the Myanmar script GP to make their views known to the GP.     Transfer PDP WG update:

    • The WG has done a "quick" walk through questions connected to Phase 1A and 1B. The exercise was mainly to identify initial comments and collect data for the project plan (call hours/time to be used).
    • (For me), it seems to be consencus to prioritize the work connected to auth-code/info management. The "Loosing" and "Gaining" FOA is considered of less value.
    • Change of Registrant (CoR) may be challenging due to verification of registrant for privacy/proxy registrations.
    • The WG is trying to work on policy issues/task - not spend time and resources in discussing "guide lines".

    IMO, it will be of interest to hear/discuss

    • CPWG view on "removing" the FOAs?
    • Factors to consider in (improving) auth-code management
