Chief Expert on International Policies and DNS - Entrepreneurship Center (DNS-EC) Lead. DNS-EC is a partnership between ICANN and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority of Egypt founded to foster the domain name industry in Africa and the Middle East.

As the lead of the DNS Entrepreneurship Centre, I have developed the centre's mission, vision and strategic plan. During the past years I have established and conducted several outreach and skill development programs. I have also established many regional and local partnerships as well as partnerships with several academic institutes.

I am an active member of the At-large community, I actively contribute to At-Large policy discussions and many of ALAC's public comments. I have contributed as a member to the new AFRALO ROP (2021). I have been the penholder of several AFRALO statements as well as several ALAC public comments. I am one of ALAC representatives to the EPDP on IDN gTLDs and was previously ALAC representative to the EPDP on gTLD registration data. In addition, I am a participate in several ICANN PDPs and working groups. I am also a regular contributor to At-Large Talking Points and At-Large ICANN meetings planning committees.  

I am an Engineer by training, I hold a B.Sc. in Electronics and Communications from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, a M.Sc. in Management and Leadership from Szent Istvan University in Hungary and a Diploma in Engineering Management from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. I have successfully completed the artificial intelligence: technology governance and policy frameworks 1905 course with the Diplo Foundation. I have also completed the Internet technology and policy course with the Diplo foundation and the course Internet Governance in the MENA region with Hivos and Diplo foundation. I have proposed, organized and participated as a panelist in a couple of IGFs. I am a Board member of a non profit organization and have worked for more than 14 years at .eg, Egypt's top level domain. I have also worked with organizations that help empower women and I am a Rotary member.
