COMMENT – THE APPOINTMENT TO A LIAISON POSITION IS VERY SIMILAR TO APPOINTMENTS TO GENERAL ALAC POSITIONS – COULD APPOINTMENTS TO ALAC AND ASSOCIATED POSITIONS BE MADE UNDER  ONE RULE, WITH SPECIFICITY BE GIVEN FOR ANYTHING DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT POSITIONS, IF THERE ARE ANY DIFFERENCES.

IS THERE A RULE THAT SAYS WE HAVE TO SAY THINGS TWICE?

    1. IS THERE A RULE THAT SAYS WE HAVE TO SAY THINGS TWICE?

Based on how some of these rules are formed, apparently!  That is one rule that we can and should change.

In this case, one set of general criteria and then others as necessary for the particular instances.

There is also overlap between Rule 4 and 5. Rule 4 should be the election processes. Rules 5 should be the Criteria and Responsibilities.

  2. Some ideas for liaison metrics:

Liaisons to a Supporting Organisation (SO) or Advisory Committee (AC) or Working Group (WG) should

    - post reports on the At-Large wiki before regular ALAC meetings regarding the SO/AC/WG activities he/she is liaison to

    - attend regular ALAC meetings to discuss with the ALAC the SO/AC/WG activities he/she is liaison to

    - fulfill the attendance requirements of the SO/AC/WG he/she is liaison to
