20:41:38 From Yesim Nazlar : Agenda: https://community.icann.org/x/kgS-C
21:00:18 From Sarah Kiden : Hi everyone
21:01:31 From Amrita : hi all
21:01:44 From David Mackey : Hi All :-)
21:01:58 From herb waye ombuds : hello everyone, nice to see names and hear voices
21:03:36 From Natalia Filina : hello all!
21:03:39 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : Hi Herb
21:05:36 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : :-)
21:05:47 From Sarah Kiden : 4am, wow!
21:06:16 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : Yup we;cpme to time zone roulette!
21:06:25 From Maureen Hilyard : Cheryl doesn't sleep, Sarah.. she stays awake just for ICANN meetings :)))
21:06:47 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : LOL feels like it some days!!
21:06:53 From Daniel Nanghaka - English : The time zone is a general factor that affects everyone
21:07:35 From Daniel Nanghaka - English : @Cheryl you must be having a timezone DNA chromosome, I love the way you manage the zones
21:07:42 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : Actualky @Daniel it is a disadvantatge for some regions/sub regions more than others
21:08:27 From Daniel Nanghaka - English : Interesting the time I have been in the US, I note that the time zones are so favourable
21:09:03 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : Exactly!
21:09:42 From Roberto : @CLO the concept of “some more equal than others” is in the literature
21:10:06 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : Yup it is indeed @Roberto
21:10:44 From Roberto : @CLO I am a fan of Orwell, so….
21:12:45 From David Mackey : @Roberto I wonder what Orwell would think of the Internet? … but then again maybe this question digresses too far from the work on hand.
21:12:49 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : Understood @Alan
21:13:52 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : The first 2 may overli\ap for any non controvertial ones
21:14:10 From Sivasubramanian Muthusamy : Apologies. I will follow the recording of this meeting.
21:16:17 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : I think we have built in enough for 'regular' safety valve here @Alan
21:16:33 From Maureen Hilyard : APRALO does the same with regards to raising the applications and anyone who can, is invited to comment
21:16:43 From Roberto : I have an overarching question/comment but I do not have a good connection, so I type it. I find the concept of “business days” acceptable only in the cases when who does the work is identifiable and operating on a known business calendar. This is not the case for point 7. where ALAC Members might work in different environments - and holiday calendars.
21:17:21 From Sarah Kiden : Yes, we sometimes we receive feedback on the applications. We also give a few days after the call for people to raise any questions they have
21:18:21 From David Mackey : Roberto, has a good point that “Business days” may have regional differences. It might be good to still target 90 days for overall process time.
21:20:25 From Jacqueline Morris : HI everyone- sorry I'm late.
21:21:33 From Nadira AL-ARAJ : why not to reduce the RALO duration?
21:21:45 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : less than 7 days for an ALAC vote should be an exceptopn not a rule IMO
21:21:57 From Evin Erdogdu : Thank you Maureen, agreed
21:22:57 From Nadira AL-ARAJ : 7 days to ALAC is reasonable
21:23:11 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : 6 can work
21:23:18 From Maureen Hilyard : I agree
21:23:23 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : for Review
21:26:56 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : THIS coument uses Business Days as well Tis is what I referred to Days is fine
21:27:19 From Maureen Hilyard : Use calendar days.. as long as they are continuous - then there can be no confusion
21:28:13 From Jacqueline Morris : +1 Maureen
21:28:14 From Sarah Kiden : +1 for calendar days
21:28:34 From Amrita : calendar days
21:28:49 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : calendar days works

21:29:04 From Ali AlMeshal : yes
21:30:29 From Roberto : The Chair has a wider range for allowed errors
21:30:59 From Roberto : Simply because he/she has to take more decisions
21:31:23 From Maureen Hilyard : Thankfully..
21:32:59 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr : I am OK with the "Consider" Language for inclusion
21:33:07 From David Mackey : “should”
21:33:12 From Judith Hellerstein : should include not mandatory
21:33:18 From Amrita : it should not be must..it could be considered
21:33:20 From Maureen Hilyard : Id like it included as a "should include" but some ALSes haven't got anything yet
21:33:23 From Nadira AL-ARAJ : Leave it optional
21:33:25 From Yrjo Lansipuro : Should also consider
21:33:26 From Ali AlMeshal : should work fine
21:33:45 From Ali AlMeshal : should
21:35:49 From Sarah Kiden : Agree
21:35:50 From Roberto : Agree
21:35:56 From Maureen Hilyard : agree
21:35:57 From Nadira AL-ARAJ : in favor
21:35:59 From Yrjo Lansipuro : Agree
