Fouad Bajwa is a social entrepreneur and public policy  educator from Lahore in Pakistan. Fouad is the Chief and Co-Founder of Agriculture Republic and the Digital Dera smart villages network (in collaboration with Internet Society) that has connected remote rural under privileged  communities to the Internet in rural Pakistan. He is an adjunct with the Centre for Public Policy and Governance at the FCCU, Lahore since 2015. His work can be viewed here.

Fouad has been participating in various initiatives that promote a free and open Internet in Pakistan. He founded the IRP2, a strategic Internet policy advocacy group in 2009 to help make the citizenry aware of their rights in the digital space and the social, economic and political changes being brought about due to the Internet that has evolved into the Digital Dera smart village network that is a recognisable name worldwide. The Digital Dera network has been actively engaging in improving Internet connectivity, and promote Internet Governance activities around Pakistan. 

He founded the FOSS movement in the country that helped increase the penetration of open source innovation in the country and promote a culture of digital creation and sharing that helped evolve the startup culture in the country. He has also been awarded the national OSS award for his contributions to the movement. Fouad participated in the WSIS process and contributed to the IGF. He served as a member of the IGF MAG from 2009-2011. He teaches Internet Governance and Public Policy at the Center for Public Policy and Governance, Lahore since 2015 and contributes to the Pakistan School on Internet Governance as a faculty and organizing committee. 

Fouad believes in the ethos of community, empathy, inclusiveness, caring, sharing, helping and promoting each others ideas and contributions so that we can grow together as a community.
