Talk numbers. Ask directly, what is the thinking about the number of ASP participants ICANN org thinks would be a success?
14:19:38 From Carlton Samuels to Everyone:
Last time there were 2 and it was a bust!  So what would the eminent numbers think is a better number?
14:21:35 From avri doria to Everyone:
also possible to think about initial contribution to the ASP fund, that can be augmented if there is need shown by number of applicants.  an idea is to not cap it before you know the demand.
14:25:42 From Carlton Samuels to Everyone:
@avri doria I could support that notion, yes.  But I do think the top of mind issue for ICANN Org is to know the top end of their contribution.   They could begin by framing the dollars at risk with the known cost of a successful application and declaring how deep the pocket has to be for say 4 successful applicants.  There will not be more.

I would note that, in the discussions I have heard, the number of successful ASP applicatnts which would indicate that the program was a success has mostly been more like 10
