NEW: Initial Report on the RZERC Charter Review

The Root Zone Evolution Review Committee (RZERC) seeks comment and input on its findings and proposed amendments of the RZERC Charter, as included in the Initial Report. The Charter requires that the Charter shall be reviewed at least every 5 years. The RZERC started working with ICANN org to determine the process for reviewing its Charter in 2021 and initiated its first review in April 2022.

Second-Level Reference Label Generation Rule: Armenian, Cyrillic, Greek, Latin, Japanese, Korean, Myanmar CPWG

ICANN has developed seven additional script-based reference Label Generation Rulesets (LGRs) for the second level in consultation with the relevant script communities. This aims to improve the transparency and consistency of the Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) table review process and to facilitate the registry operations of gTLDs. ICANN org seeks for feedback from the broader community on these LGRs.

In time, this policy will replace the IDN ccTLD Fast Track Process.
