Terri Agnew:goodbye Gordon, recordings will be available soon and transcription shortly on wiki page
Gordon Chillcott:Thank you, Terri.
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:@Alberto +1.
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:@Alan, currently the Board has the faculty to remove one of its members, and this is on the basis of a set of standards, admittedly not explicit or clear enough.
Alan Greenberg:@jjs, The current Board says they would only use the power for specific cause. However, the Bylaw makes no such restriction. A director and most Liaisons can be removed by a vote of the remaining directors.
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:duty of care, etc.
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:Yes, that's true, a vote suffices. But should we not have clearer guidelines, in the case of the Sole Member model?
Alan Greenberg:We now have what is generally agreed as a reasonable compromise - no what hjas exactly what they want...
Alan Greenberg:I'll try again. No one has exactly what they want.
Alan Greenberg:@JJS, ultimately, a member has the right of removal. Period. What we now have in the current draft is a compromise.
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:@Alan, yes, I'm aware that's the current situation. My question applied to a potential future model, as the Sole Member model is quite a departure from current practice in ICANN.
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:All: sorry, I'll have to leave this call in a few minutes.
Terri Agnew:goodbye Jean-Jacques
Jean-Jacques Subrenat 2:Goodbye all!
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:"who has the last word"?
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:this issue of IRP vs. Board having the last word is a reverse chick & egg scenario
Alberto Soto:Good bye JJ!!
Olivier Crepin-Leblond:chicken & egg
Tijani BEN JEMAA:U r right Olivier
Leon Sanchez:Tijani I believe your mic might be open
Leon Sanchez:different parts of the world?
Tijani BEN JEMAA:Yes, sorry
Leon Sanchez:don't we all live in UTCland?
Leon Sanchez:could also be UTCshire
Alberto Soto:Good Bye all!!! Thanks Veronica and David!!
Tom Lowenhaupt:bye
