Summary Notes and Action Items:

Monday 11 June 2012

OCL: Please be sure to inform us if your status/SOI changes. It is vital that the group inform one another of changes.

FSS: How are we to review the large number of applications?

OCL: This RG will look only at objections, not all applications.

The procedures for the ALAC to submit public comments on, and file objections to, New gTLD Applications were discussed at length. All material is available in Proposal for the ALAC to submit public comments on, and file objections to new gTLD applications.

DAT: Until July 11 - We can file an objection. We will only create wiki pages once someone makes an objection.

DAT: The Evaluation Panels: There are six of them.

DAT: Objection Grounds: There are two of them.

DAT: These charts are quite detailed as the entire procedure will work. Hence, the detail. Given the strict timing of 60 days and 1500 applications, we need to clearly work on this process.

DAT: Objections are limited to 5000 words or 20 pages.

DAT: The dispute must be formatted exactly as noted in the guidelines - http://newgtlds.icann.org/en/en/program-status/objection-dispute-resolution

DAT: Tomorrow we will have a look on the wiki updating process

CS: It must be clear that objectors should be identified.

OCL: Try to reduce the amount of work you need to do. Filing an objection without saying on what grounds would be quite difficult for this group.

CS: We should not add opinions to any comments that are submitted.

There was general agreement for a third call before Prague.
