09:48:57 From Jonathan Zuck to Everyone:
    there's the "conservative approach" again...
09:49:32 From Suzanne to Everyone:
One observation about “conservative” treatment of potential variant sets is that it’s not unique to variants. Technical guidance from the ietf, root server operators, and SSAC have always counseled being conservative about what’s allowed in the root zone, because it’s a shared resource and issues arising there potentially have wide impacts. The conservatism principle applies to other aspects of root zone management as well, for instance it’s very relevant to NCAP.
09:50:49 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr - Internet Australia to Everyone:
    Noted @Suzanne  thx
09:51:28 From Jim Galvin to Everyone:
With respect to NCAP Update, in the interest of time the co-Chairs would like to suggest we defer this update to this afternoon at 3pm when there will be an hour long community update on NCAP.  There will be much more detail about NCAP then.  Please attend there and bring lots of questions!

09:55:00 From Cheryl Langdon-Orr - Internet Australia to Everyone:
But the trick is to optimise the possibility of having such a longer term strategy being  *Well informed*  that may be where mutualism between our AC's  may be useful IMO
10:00:11 From Chokri Ben Romdhane to Everyone:
@JZ the conservative approach continues with DNS abuse
