NOMINATIONS 

Estas elecciones se rigen por el principio de rotación de sub regiones, implementada por primera vez en 2019 en LACRALO. Ver LACRALO Principios Operativos Titulo IV, artículo 7.2.a. 

Las elecciones también están guiadas por el borrador de las nuevas Reglas de Procedimiento de LACRALO desarrolladas por el Grupo de Gobernanza [ver último borrador aquí, en particular artículos 19 y 23].

These elections are governed by the rotation principle by sub-regions, implemented for the first time in 2019 in LACRALO. See: LACRALO Operating Principles Title IV, article 7.2.a. The elections shall also be governed by the draft new LACRALO Rules of Procedures developed by the Governance WG (latest draft articles 19 and 23). 

El proceso de nominaciones ( Borrador  de las nuevas Reglas de Procedimiento – Articulo 23):

1. Un candidato puede ser nominado por cualquier miembro de LACRALO, pero los candidatos nominados deben de ser miembros de las ALSs situadas en la subregión correspondiente. Los miembros observadores de LACRALO no pueden nominar ni ser nominados.
2. En el caso en que no haya un candidato disponible de la subregión correspondiente, las ALSs de esa subregión pueden nominar candidatos de cualquier otra ALS de LACRALO. Este caso excepcional no modificará la tabla de rotación de cargos en los siguientes años.
3. En los casos en que haya un único candidato, en cualquier puesto, se considerará el candidato elegido por aclamación sin necesidad de una votación.

Rules Chair Elect position:

• Nominaciones deben ser hechas por miembros de LACRALO de la Sub-Region A (Central  America : Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico y Panama ), un candidato puede ser nominado por cualquier miembro de LACRALO, pero los candidatos nominados deben de ser miembros de ALS situadas en la subregión correspondiente. See LACRALO Principios Operativos Titulo IV, artículo 7.2.a.
• EN: Nominations shall be made by LACRALO members from Sub-Region A (Central  America : Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico y Panama ). A candidate can be nominated by any LACRALO member, but nominated candidates must be from ALS members located in the corresponding subregion.  LACRALO Operating Principles Title IV, article 7.2.a. 
• En el caso que no haya un candidato disponible en subregion A, las ALS de esa subregión puede nominar candidatos de cualquier otra ALS de LACRALO. Estos casos excepcionales no modifican la tabla de rotación de cargos de los siguientes años.

• EN: In the event that there is no candidate available in subregion A, the ALSs of that subregion can nominate candidates from any other ALS in LACRALO. These exceptional cases do not modify the table of rotation of positions of the following years. In cases where there is a unique candidate for the position, consider the chosen candidate by acclamation without the need for a vote.

• En los casos en que haya un único candidato para el puesto, se considerara el candidato elegido por aclamación sin necesidad de una votación.

• EN: In cases where there is a single candidate for the position, the candidate will be considered by acclamation without the need for a vote.

• Electores: all LACRALO
• EN: Electorate : todo LACRALO.
• El candidato ganador tomará su posición inmediatamente y terminará el periodo de la persona quien renunció.
• EN: The winning candidate will take his/her position immediately and will complete the term of the resigning officer.

Article 19 Rules of Procedure: In case of resignation or vacancy in any position, the position shall be occupied by another representative of the same subregion through an election process. Upon failure to find a candidate from the same subregion due to any reason, the position shall be held by an active member from the following subregion.
