At an iGF, I think that in Panama, after my presentation on LACRALO, two people approached me and asked me for information to incorporate their organization as ALS. A while later, someone I knew from being a representative of an ALS in LACRALO approached. The three people belonged to the same organization, and two of them did not know that they were already in LACRALO.

    Actually Alan i certainly don't have any material changes on the recommendations as members from AFRALO also contributed at that time but i think individual membership and ALSes recommendations could have been done at once....the process to getting this through within the RALO isn't fun

    @Amrita each RALO can manage it's own mechanism for specifically handling  Ind Member votes...   your right when method that  'bundles' the votes of many into an equivalence  to an ALS vote ( as you described) is common but not unchangeable by any RALO that sees a better way of balancing equivalence and weighting etc., being considered...   there can be some clever thinking from the RALOs as to how they can make such changes for best outcomes and benefits..

    @Amrita. I agree we have to deal with this issue of individual representation. There should be some rationale like 10 individuals per one vote or something like that. But it should not be like we are following now. Unlimited number of individual members contribute to only one vote

    @Seun, it may be possible that no real changes are need to the RALO rules. In NARALO the actual changes were minimal.  One example was that NARALO had a rule that an indiv. Member could not be a member of an ALS and that has been changed to an indiv member could not be a Rep or leader of an ALS.

    @Chokri   What I mean is that we RALO should be contact abstract email addresses such as president@als.some or ceo@als.some rather than the emails of individual because in a number of ALSes, the leadership change very frequently and all previous coordination done with an individual email might get lost. This will allow the correspondence to be consistent
