  Holly Raiche:GDD?

  Yesim Nazlar:Agenda page:

Trang Nguyen and Bryan Schilling:GDD stands for Global Domains Division

  Holly Raiche:Thanks

Trang Nguyen and Bryan Schilling:We are talking. Can you not hear us?

  Maureen Hilyard:Unfortunately not

Holly Raiche:No - canher nothing from you

Trang Nguyen and Bryan Schilling:WE will dial back in

  Holly Raiche:Sorrry- can hear nothing

  Holly Raiche:Whooppee

Aida Noblia:Hi excuse me  I am a little late

  Yesim Nazlar:welcome Aida!

  Aida Noblia:thanks Yesim

Holly Raiche:Before I forget, what about an education role - for example,  what to do if your domain name has been transferred away from you?

Alan Greenberg:@Holly, my understanding is that this is one of the first areas that GDD is focussing on, so I suspect that Trang will have something to say.  Building on work that Compliance has previously done.

Holly Raiche:See CCRT report - and Recommendation 5 from Jonathan Zuck on collection of data

Holly Raiche:Tks Alan - looking forward to wha he has to say

Heidi Ullrich:OCTO = Office of the Chief Technology Officer

Alan Greenberg:Is slide deck posted so we can open our own copy - a bit hard to read on AC.

  Heidi Ullrich:@Alan, yes it is

Holly Raiche:+1 - agree with Alan - useful information

Alan Greenberg:Ahh. I see linked to agenda.

  Alan Greenberg:

Holly Raiche:@ Alan - the new Google callendar has wonderful links - that lilnk to nothing.  The way I got into this call had to copy the link and then enter it. And they call it progress

Alan Greenberg:Those links work for me.

  Holly Raiche:Maybe I"m just lucky!

Alan Greenberg:On a PC, it is not obvious but if you hit CTRL, you can the URL becomes an active link.

  Brian Gutterman:

  Maureen Hilyard:thanks Brian

Holly Raiche:Glad about theeducation stuff - something I argued for in the IRTP WGs

Holly Raiche:(and Alan - it used to be so easy - links jus worked.  SIGH

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):I think the use of social media (with retweets / shares etched., to expand reach is a good one, but we, might need to expand syndicate etc.,

Trang Nguyen and Bryan Schilling:@CLO, agree. We are working with ICANN Communications to explore other ways to further disseminate the educational content.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):excellent Trang

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):don't forget podcast and yes radio for some Regions

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):ahhh yes the heady days Alan 😀

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):great Bryan 😁 our al's network can no doubt help

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):should read ALS network,  damniable auto correct!

Jonathan Zuck:Thanks for the shout out!

Holly Raiche:Good to har having more obvious/easy to find informaion

Jonathan Zuck:I guess I have more of a preference for data over documents but it's a balance.

Holly Raiche:@ Jonathan - my pleassure - maybe you should comment on my draft - and support proposed support for Recommendation 5!

Heidi Ullrich:Might interesting to consider adding the link to the At-Large site

Jonathan Zuck:@Holly. shoot it to me!

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):of course Registrants need to find / know about ICANN site in the first place Trang 😉

Holly Raiche:Agree that Compliance data may need to be confidential - but still avaluable source of what's going wrong

Holly Raiche:Agree with Alan - we need to know both what issues ARE dealt with - and what AREN'T

Holly Raiche:A quesion - it would be interesting to have a document on what the RAA requires - but in simple language and from the perspective of the registrant

Holly Raiche:@ Jonathan - the document is on the ALAC policy page - hee should be a link there - I've asked for one.  Otherwise, complain that it's too hard to find the page on which ALAC members provide comments

Holly Raiche:@ Briwn - good news - thanks

  Glenn McKnight:Ebook aof the Sldieshow

Holly Raiche:Maybe at he next ICANN meeting - meet with ALAC on how we could provide feedback as well?

Heidi Ullrich:@Holly, At-Large requested the first Simple Language Guide to the RAA years ago. It was produced

Holly Raiche:@ Heidi - should be kept up - and from a registrant's perspective that is easy to find!

Holly Raiche:@ Brian - thanks it would be welcome

Heidi Ullrich:@Bryan and Trang, many thanks for your time with us today. I have to drop to go to another call.

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):Thanks indeed,  and we should keep up this type of interaction in 2018
