Description:

The first round table will discuss the rights/interests of end users as incorporated in ICANN Bylaws and included in community policies and practices. This first round table will include a Board member and At-Large community members from all five RALOs. The round table will aim to explore end users rights/interests and identify how the At-Large community attempts to recognize those interests. In addition, the session will highlight the importance of protecting end users interests in enabling a secure and stable DNS
The Second round table will discuss the rights of registrants as incorporated in ICANN policies and included in community practices. This second round table will include a Board member as well as members from the GNSO representing its different constituencies. The discussion will aim to highlight the rights of the registrants and the work done in this area. In addition, it will highlight the importance of protecting those rights for a secure and stable DNS.
The third round table will discuss current policies under development such as the subsequent procedures for new gTLDs, the transfer policy, the EPDP for gTLD registration data and the EPDP on IDN gTLDs to show how these policies uphold the rights of end users and registrants and how protecting those rights enables a secure DNS ecosystem

Objectives:

The session aims to highlight the rights of end users and registrants and the importance of those rights to maintain a stable and secure DNS.
