The trend in North America is the massive departure of volunteers in the third sector and this is becoming a big problem. The opportunities need to be inclusive regardless background, age, gender and ethnicity. Sometimes one needs to mine the existing membership and asking for volunteerism. In the case of NARALO we asked an unaffiliated member to lead our Universal Acceptance training as example . This person has moved from a 'lurker' to an active volunteer. We also did it with our volunteer on the Social Media WG. but we have been mentoring that person

My solution is recruiting Michael Palage of former ICANN Board member to join our session. I was very comfortable admitting I knew nothing on the history and leaned on Michael It worked well
