  1. SOI - Mohamed El Bashir

I was one of the founders of the AfRALO ( AfRALO formation agreement was signed in ICANN Lisbon meeting in 2007 ). As an ALAC member representing Africa i have been involved in different policy development working groups. I was member of IDNC which the committee that planned for the launch the introduction/rollout of IDN ccTLDs, participated in IDN Guidelines committee which the multi-stakeholder committee that sets IDN Technical Standards.

I have served in different ICANN structures including ccNSO and ALAC, i am a strong believer of the multi-stakeholder model, and i would like to benefit my region Africa through strengthen the multi-stakeholder model through my participation in ICANN.

As an experienced member being served, I will be able to actively contribute due to my understanding of the process .
