  Detalles del proceso de elecciones
  

Como fue anunciado en la última teleconferencia de 2013 la apertura para candidaturas para los cargos de Presidente/a y Secretario/a de LACRALO 2014-2015 será abierta durante 30 días a partir de; 08/01/2014

y estará abierto hasta el 07/02/2014 a las 23:59 UTC. Se aceptarán auto-nominaciones, así como también, nominaciones hechas por representantes de ALSs.

El candidato propuesto deberá aceptar o declinar la Nominación hasta el 15/02/2014  a las 23:59 UTC.

Una lista de ALSes y representantes de LACRALO será enviada por personal de At-Large a la lista de correo para confirmar la lista de ALS participantes en esta elección.

Se organizará una teleconferencia de 90 minutos de duración para Preguntas y Exposiciones de los candidatos/as a ambos cargos en la semana del  17/02 al 21/02 2014. En el caso de  que sea necesario, se realizará una segunda teleconferencia en la semana del 24 al 28 de febrero de 2014. (Como es de costumbre, animamos a las ALSes a enviar preguntas para los candidatos por escrito una vez que sea anunciada la fecha de la teleconferencia, aunque también estará permitido hacerlas durante la misma.)

Tendremos 7 días de votación online para expresar la voluntad de las ALSes sobre quién será el Presidente/a y el Secretario/a de LACRALO,  del 08/03/2014 al 15/03/2014 a las 23:59UTC, observando el plazo estipulado en nuestras Reglas de procedimientos: las nominaciones serán aceptadas por un período mínimo de 4 semanas desde la fecha de la convocatoria de candidaturas, con la elección a realizarse no antes de 48 horas después de la expiración de 8 semanas desde la fecha de la convocatoria de candidaturas. (Reglas 13.1, 13.2, 13.3)

Cada representante de ALS recibirá, dos semanas antes del periodo de votación,  su credencial pertinente para la votación online por parte del personal de At-large de forma personal e individual.

Al final del periodo de votación, los votos se contarán de acuerdo con la regla 12.9 de las  Reglas de Procedimiento de LACRALO (cada voto es ponderado con el coeficiente del país al que pertenece cada ALS), y los resultados de la votación, serán dados a conocer en la lista por la Secretaria actual de la región, Sylvia Herlein Leite.

Las autoridades electas asumirán sus posiciones durante una año a partir del 28/03/2014 (al término de ICANN 49- Singapur); y estarán en funciones hasta el término de la primera reunión anual de ICANN de 2015 (aproximadamente en marzo 2015, si las reuniones anuales siguen siendo organizadas como hasta ahora).

NOTA: Debido a un problema con el sistema de votacion  BP voting el voto sera  re-lanzado desde el Lunes 17th de Marzo a las 23:00 UTC  hasta el 24 de Marzo a las  23:00 UTC.

Details of the Election Process

Electoral Process Chair / LACRALO Secretariat 2014-2015

Nominations timeframe: 30 days and open from 08/01/2014 until 07/02/2014 at 23:59 UTC. Self-nominations are accepted, as well as, nominations made by ALSes representatives. 

The candidates shall accept or decline nominations by 15/02/2014  a las 23:59 UTC. 

A list of ALS and LACRALO representatives shall be sent by At- Large personnel to the mail list to confirm the list of ALS participating in this election.

There will be a teleconference of 90 minutes with introductions and Questions of the candidates to both charges during the week of 17/02 to 21/02 2014. If needed, there shall be a second teleconference during the week of 24 to 28 February 2014. (As always we encourage candidates to send questions in writing once the date of the teleconference is announced, and it will be allowed also to ask questions during the teleconference.)

There will be an online vote of 7 days to select Chair and Secretary of LACRALO, from 08/03/2014 to 15/03/2014 at 23:59UTC, according to the timeframe established in the Rules of Procedures: nominations shall be accepted during a minimum timeframe of 4 weeks from the date of the call of nominations, and election shall be not before 48 hours after the expiration of 8 weeks from the date of call of nominations. (Rules 13.1, 13.2, 13.3)

Each ALS representative shall receive, two weeks before the voting period, his/her credential for online voting sent by At large staff to each voter.

At the end of the voting period, votes shall be counted according to rule 12.9 of LACRALO’s ROPs (each vote is weighted with the country coefficient of the ALS), and the results of the votes shall be known to the list by the current Secretariat Sylvia Herlein Leite.

The elected authorities shall take seats from 28/03/2014 (at the end of the ICANN 49- Singapore); and shall be in effect until the end of the first annual ICANN meeting of 2015. (Approximately March 2015, if the annual meetings continue under the current System)
