The Program Management Tool (PMT) is a best-effort complication of as many known activities within the scope of the GNSO throughout the FY21-FY25 Strategic Plan. It contains projects and on-going activities categorized by similar project related topics or policy issues. It is updated monthly based on the best publicly available information at the time. The tasks within each project are at a very high-level and largely depends on more specific plans made at the project level as inputs to better inform the program. This tool is a primary input to the Action Decision Radar (ADR).

PMT Disclaimers:

  • It does not presuppose outcomes or decisions, but it does assume the greatest amount of possible activity. For example, if a PDP is launched, the PMT will log the duration of the working group, time for Council to adopt, time for the Board to adopt, and an Implementation Review team.
  • Project tasks and duration within each project or on-going activity are considered in isolation
  • Forward looking activities are based on currently available information at time of publication
  • Duration of forecasted, down-stream tasks are based on prior experiences, but they should not be inferred as committed to delivery time frames
  • It does not account for un-planned activities or externalities that force reactive project scheduling
  • It is not a tool to prioritize order of projects
  • It's not a resource and capacity planning tool
