  Glenn McKnight:Welcome  Wes

Glenn McKnight:Please provide the link to the election

Javier Rúa-Jovet:@Louis: I joke about Canadian Province status for Puerto Rico, because one of the big things that stands againts PR US Statehood is "E Pluribus Unum".  The US pushes for cultural and lingistuic symmetry, the English-language as the unifying factor.  Canadian federalism is more flexible, and Canadian culture is formally open to multilingualism. So I like the Canadian asymmetrical model more, something like the status of Quebec...

Javier Rua-Jovet: PTI means two interconnected things: "Post Transition IANA" and the entity which has been incorporated under the name of "Public Technical Identifiers" which is now performing the IANA functions on behalf of ICANN.

Susannah Gray (SF Bay ISOC Chapter):Can you scroll to the bottom of the doc? I just saw my name...

Eduardo Diaz:@Javier: the first definition of PTI was used while the whole IANA transition was worked on. At the  time of incorporation it did not make sense to use a post transition IANA so it was changed to something that was more in tune with the purpose but maintaing the PTI abreviation
