ALAC Consensus with regard to the GNSO Council motion on Issues Report for subsequent rounds of new gTLDs

The ALAC reached the agreement to start the work as soon as possible and give the PDP time to consider all of the issues that need to be addressed, with a provison that work on those issues that are dependent on the AoC Review of the 2012 new gTLD round should not be addressed until such review is completed.

It is understood that many issues such as, for example, Community Application Criteria and Applicant Support are not dependent on the AoC Review and that ample time be given in the PDP for them to be addressed in depth. Delaying the start of a PDP until the end of the AoC Review would put too much time pressure to conclude the PDP in less time than would be necessary.
