For IANA-managed zones, most notably for the root zone, a suite of technical conformance tests are conducted as part of the process of evaluating change requests. IANA expects to conduct a general community consultation on the scope and definition of these tests to inform future evolution of its operational practices. In time, this policy will replace the IDN ccTLD Fast Track Process.
