Suggested to authors of  the Beginners  guide to create  a  EBOOK  and Complimentary videos  for the guide.   Very short  videos  that  demonstrate an idea or  deal with Q and A.  Did this for  ISOC   created a  E book and  distributed it through  Amazon, Itunes and  Archives.org( Free)   We need to start thinking of  Open Pub  distribution on mobile phones and Just IN Time  training.  Link to book

APRALOMeeting of the APRALO Executive members (Siranush, Ali, Satish, Holly, Maureen) to discuss the content of our APRALO meeting on Weds am. Included issues for the APRALO strategic plan which Siranush can raise with Fadi at the RALO leaders meeting with Fadi. Also discussed important partners who will be assigned time in the APRALO meeting schedule - Pablo (APNIC), Don (APTLD) and Kelvin (APAC Hub). Ali and Holly are preparing their CROPP report on their attendance at PacINET on Rarotonga.

This meeting is an outcome of the LAC Strategy Plan.

There are quite a few persons from ICANN staff (4-5 persons) helping the ICANN's LAC Community implement the community's LAC Strategy Plan who gave an update of the LAC Strategy

It was well attended with 80+ persons :

There was a disappointing lack of the "C" in the agenda, with presentations regarding LA e-commerce.

However, the GDD Underserved Regions Outreach Update regarding lack of ICANN accredited registry/registrars in such regions was interesting. The Caribbean has only 2 registrars and mention was made of several RAA requirements such as $500,000 US insurance which are significant challenges for a prospective Caribbean registrar. Anthony Harris, for .LAT also spoke of the challenges of trying to signing a registrar agreement and the inability to do so so far. An updated report would be available for comment soon.
