Info

You may notice that there is no Edit Comment command available. Because the discussion is threaded, it is vital to maintain the integrity of all comments as they were originally posted. If an error occurs in a post and you wish to amend it, please click Reply immediately below the affected comment and state the correction. If something completely unacceptable occurs and it is imperative that a comment be edited/removed, please complete a Comments-How to Create & Reply and describe the circumstances and desired outcome. Each case will be evaluated individually to ensure that a substantive discussion thread is not adversely impacted by such action.

Warningtip

There is no auto-save capability for Confluence Comments and, as mentioned above, you cannot Save and subsequently Edit your comments. If you lose your network connection before saving, your work will not be retrievable. If your comments are going to be extensive, we advise users to draft them in a text editor on your local computer, saving periodically. Once you are satisfied with the final version, copy the text and paste it to the Add Comments box, make any final formatting adjustments, and Save.

Tip

You may notice that, at the bottom right corner of every Comment (or Reply), there is a symbol which is called a Permalink. If you right-click on that symbol and copy the address, you can link to that Comment from anywhere both inside and outside the Wiki. Of course, anyone connecting to that Comment would need at least View permissions to the Confluence site.
