Beran Gillen:great !! thanks @Gisella
Maureen Hilyard:Thanks Eduardo.. it has given us a great idea of what the meetings could look like
Terri Agnew:First Draft of At-Large Meeting Strategy https://community.icann.org/x/cZo0Aw
Rafid Fatani:apologies for the delay.
Terri Agnew:Welcome Rafid
Heiid Ullrich:Please see the timing as proposed by Meeting Staff for Meetings A, B, and C: https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+New+ICANN+Meetings+Strategy+Workspace
Maureen Hilyard:I think that the shortened meetings are going to constrain ALL meetings so that there are going to be LOTS of conflicts.
Yasuichi Kitamura:ICANN will annnouce the conference dates from Day1 to the last day for every plan?
Heiid Ullrich:Wed afternoon on Meeting A shows inter.intra community work.
Heiid Ullrich:There may also be a wish to collaborate with other civil society groups with ICANN - NPOC, NCUC for outreach to civil society groups...
Rafid Fatani:I agree with Eduardo
Heiid Ullrich:You will see more support for broader civil society within ICANN
Heiid Ullrich:@Seb - Durban was the meeting
Maureen Hilyard:@ Heidi, Yes other groups are important - we need to be able to go to their meetings in BA
Heiid Ullrich:@Marueen, collaboration might also mean going outside of the current ICANN community - to other grouups
Maureen Hilyard:@ Heidi the other SOs and ACs for a start? sorry my computer keeps freezing so that my responses are being held up :(
Heiid Ullrich:@Maureen, It is outreach to other civil society groups - not to the ccNSO, GAC, etc. it is to end user groups
Maureen Hilyard:No it would be information about their relationship with ALAC..
Maureen Hilyard:ALSes for example are always hearing about these organisations without realising what they are about..
Beran Gillen:sorry old hand
Sébastien:http://meetings.icann.org/mswg_recommendations-icannfuturemeetingsstrategy_finalv1.1_9jun14.pdf
Heiid Ullrich:@Maureen, the ALAC already meets with most AC/SOs.
Sébastien:It was the MEETING STRATEGY WORKING GROUP (MSWG) RECOMMENDATIONSICANN FUTURE MEETINGS STRATEGY
Maureen Hilyard:@ Heidi Many of the people who come to our meetings having had the the privilege of attending Fellowship programmes to learn more about other sections
Maureen Hilyard:Thank you Sebastian for the link
Heiid Ullrich:By collaboration, I meant the ALAC, NCUC, NPOC would work together on end-user outreach
Beran Gillen:that would be great
Beran Gillen:thank you!!
Heiid Ullrich:@Maureen, there will be an opportunity in BA for a small group of At-Large leaders (one from each RALO) to meet with the Fellows
Maureen Hilyard:@Heidi.. excellent
Heiid Ullrich:Safe travels to BA.!
Beran Gillen:will join you guys remotely!!!
Rafid Fatani:~Thank you Eduardo and everyone! See you all in BA!
