The Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) charter revision process has been updated to reflect the continuous evolution of the ICANN community, ongoing implementation of Specific Review recommendations, and the review role of ICANN Board. For IANA-managed zones, most notably for the root zone, a suite of technical conformance tests are conducted as part of the process of evaluating change requests. IANA expects to conduct a general community consultation on the scope and definition of these tests to inform future evolution of its operational practices.
