• Item 1: Administrative Matters
  • Minutes of the GNSO Council meeting on 18 November 2021 were posted on 03 December 2021.
• Item 4: COUNCIL DISCUSSION - Recurring Update on the SubPro ODP

  • Council will receive and discuss an update on SubPro ODP, having had notice of:

    • a 12 September 2021 ICANN Board direction that ICANN CEO organize resources to begin the SubPro ODP off the GNSO’s New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Final Report and the Affirmations, Recommendations, and Implementation Guidance contained in that report;
    • a 20 December 2021 announcement by ICANN Org;
    • ICANN org having provided a set of preliminary questions for consideration by the liaison and Council;
    • a 18 November 2021 request by the GNSO Chair on input to the liaison's proposed responses to said questions, with an extended deadline of 13 January 2022
• Item 5: COUNCIL DISCUSSION - System for Standardized Access/Disclosure (SSAD) Operational Design Phase, Next Steps and Preparation for Consultation with the ICANN Board
  • Council to reflect on previous meetings on the SSAD ODP and any potential next steps, taking into account the following:
    • GNSO Council Recommendation Report to the ICANN Board off the EPDP on TempSpec EPDP Phase 2 Final Report,
    • a 20 December 2021 discussion with the SSAD ODP Project Team focusing on the SSAD Cost Model information (the recorded part of call),
    • a 4 January 2022 summary paper,
    • (Ed) a 12 January 2022 follow up discussion call; 
    • a 18 January 2022 general webinar on the SSAD ODP; and
    • Presentation slide deck
  • Council is to meet with the ICANN Board on 27 January as the next step in its consultation related to concerns around financial sustainability of the SSAD.

  • 7.1 - Update on ICANN73 planning: ICANN73 GNSO Draft schedule
  • 7.5 - Update from Small team on Modifying Consensus Policies (18 Jan 2022 draft draft letter)
