Trip Assessment Section

1) Describe how the original Purpose and Goals were accomplished:

The traveler formed part of NPOC contingent participating at the Net Mundial Meeting along with other ICANN funded members. This enabled effective representation of NPOC, ICANN, Not for Profits and Civil Society at the meeting. There was significant contact and outreach to NGO organisations during the Civil Society pre-Net Mundial discussion and at the Meeting, with distribution of the NPOC brochure. Discussion and report of the Meeting with NPOC members was made to the NPOC mailing list and during the Open Policy Calls in May 2014.

2) Describe how the original Outcomes were achieved:

 

 Increased awareness of the Net Mundial topic areas and outcome document (http://netmundial.br/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/NETmundial-Multistakeholder-Document.pdf) by the NPOC membership. Promotion of NPOC and ICANN to Civil Society at the Net Mundial Meeting, with some organisations expressing interest but acknowledging the need to do further research in the engagement requirements of membership.

    On 19 March, I corrected apparent entry typo in proposal - changing return date of 25 "March" to 25 "April".  This adjusted the Assessment Report date to the proper date in May.
