Mei Lin Fung co-founded the People Centered Internet with Vint Cerf, and earlier worked with Douglas Engelbart: they were the first 2 nodes on the Arpanet. She organized the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Mother of All Demos, called Program for the Future and TCP/IP. An early pioneer in Customer Relationship Management, she was on the Oracle 2-person skunkworks team that designed and coded the first CRM system, OASIS. She studied finance at MIT under future Nobel winners Robert Merton and Franco Modigliani, before going to Silicon Valley to work for Intel, before working at Oracle under the leadership first of Tom Siebel who later founded and sold Siebel Systems to Oracle,  then Marc Benioff, now CEO of SalesForce. As Socio Technical lead for the US DoD’s initiative looking at the Future of Health, she co-authored the paper on the new Networked Leadership competencies and Trail Guides and Trading Posts on the Journey to Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Digital Economy and Society, and on the Steering Committee for the Internet for All initiative of the World Economic Forum. She is the nominated vice-chair for Internet Inclusion within the IEEE Internet Initiative.
