7) Proposed Goals and Outcomes for this Event: | This event is intended to leverage ICANN resources to achieve elements of the BC outreach goals specified in the BC Outreach Strategic Plan (see https://community.icann.org/display/croppfy16/BC+Outreach+Strategic+Plan). The objective of this Summit is to explore innovative ways of moving the continent beyond the WSIS goals through the application of appropriate policies, profitable investment and good governance using Information and Communication Technologies. BC participation in this event will allow current BC members to participate in the summit sharing their views about issues of importance to Summit attendees and demonstrating BC leadership on these issues. ICANN support will be used to sponsor attendance at the event and it is hoped that the BC presence, attendance, participation and networking opportunities will lead to new membership and further regional interest in the BC. | ||||||||
