NARALO Monthly Meeting

The need for creating better communications between constituencies was discussed and various plans for moving forward on this are in the works.
The NARALO will be drafting a reply to the report from the Department of Commerce. First, we need to have a discussion about the implications in this report so that leads can take this back to their ALSs. This will be discussed further on-line.
We need to do quite a lot of work in preparation for the San Francisco meeting and the NARALO Showcase. Heidi will send out timelines and a work planner. A working group has been put together to move this forward. The members are: Eduardo Diaz, Darlene Thompson and Annalisa Roger.
AI: Annalisa will send a list with affordable hotels in the meeting venue area to the NARALO list.
AI: Staff will send out a call for volunteer for the NARALO Showcase WG will be sent out.
We are still working on clarifications to our Rules of Procedures and Operating Principles as some things were missed the last time we did this.
AI: Alan will draft suggested modifications to the NARALO Rules of Procedure for Meetings and the
Operating Principles (to fix an omission with regards to the votes of the unaffiliated user
representative).
Finally, we said good-bye and congratulations to our out-going chair, Evan Leibovitch, who will now be moving to ALAC and will be acting as Vice-Chair. Beau Brendler was welcomed as the new NARALO Chair.
