Heidi Ullrich:ok
Glenn McKnight:Thanks
Terri Agnew:Welcome Christopher Mondini
Heidi Ullrich:Murray is on Skype at the moment.
Heidi Ullrich:I've asked him to send an email on his intentions.
Glenn McKnight:Hi Chris. Evan will be in Washington for IGF USA this week
Christopher Mondini:Terrific!
Glenn McKnight:Just spoke to Murray on his cell he is joining us right away and he confirmed the withdrawal
Glenn McKnight:Darlene's hand was up
Avri Doria:oh, so we dont have a vote of singel person against NOTA, pity.
Glenn McKnight:I will followup on Garths request and send a second one for Evan as well
Avri Doria:i guess i lose.
Murray McKercher Toronto:sorry I am late
Terri Agnew:Welcome Murray McKercher
Avri Doria:never mind everybody want to do acclimation, let the club do it.
Glenn McKnight:@ muuray we need confirmation of your withdraw
Murray McKercher Toronto:hello i can here you
Murray McKercher Toronto:I have decided I have not decided to accepr
Murray McKercher Toronto:postd in wkik yesterday
Glenn McKnight:So my email should have Garth, Evan and Louis on the affirmations
Glenn McKnight:If Nomcom selected either Allen or myself this election might not be necessary
Matthew Rantanen:I agree to begin the election wednesday
Glenn McKnight:Alan has question
Heidi Ullrich:Could you please confirm whether the Chair and Secretary positions have offically been selected by acclamation?
Glenn McKnight:I will be sending out an email in a few minutes
Garth Graham:The ICANN travel-constituency is denying my claim for flight reimbursement, saying I’m only due a “stipend.” This is in spite of my receiving a formal invitation saying my flight, hotel( which it was), and per diem would be covered and a formal acknowledgement that I could book my own flight. Is anyone else encountering this difficulty and, if not, why me?
Seth Reiss:stepping away to take a call
Garth Graham:@heidi: my thanks
Ogi Mitev:the travel support team did a great job, thank you!!!
Joly MacFie:Pity no good audio recording of the Fayre
Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):I think it was fantastic!!
Kerry Brown:Agree with Glenn. Judith was very good at twisting arms.
Joly MacFie:Avri has dropped off the call. I imagine because nobody responded to her NOTA comment..
Ariel Liang:This is where the declaration stored: https://community.icann.org/x/d5ThAg
Garth Bruen:I'll follow up with Avri, we had a month or more for her to respond to the nominations or election. Never heard from her, I don't know how to respond on the call itself. I am happy to entertain a change in the election process.
Garth Graham:Garth Graham. A dark mirror of Internet use. July 11, 2014. (To be posted to the ALAC TC wiki page shortly) This essay is an impressionistic summary of what I’m learned via participation in ATLAS II about ICANN’s alignment and sensitivity to the world that organizations like Telecommunities Canada inhabit. I conclude that the individual Internet user is NOT yet at the heart of ICANN. A major cultural shift, a re-framing of its way of doing things, would need to occur to make that happen.
Sarah Alkire:I found the whole conference informational. Additionally, it was helpful to be able to meet everyone here in person.
Joly MacFie:I am yet to debrief our ISOC-NY rep Jonathan Askin. Looking forward to it.
Heidi Ullrich:Keep in mind that the next ICANN Meeting is in NARALO's region! :)

Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):Great event -- very global! -- watch the acronyms in these meetings -- hard to keep up sometimes :-)
Glenn McKnight:Pictures of Atlas 2
Sarah Alkire:My only recommendation would be to have met with all of you prior to working in the thematic groups, but I understand that there are likely scheduling constraints that I was not aware of.

Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):breakfast was a great idea!!
Sarah Alkire:No worries, I think it'll be easier the next time :).
Heidi Ullrich:Perhaps a pre-Meeting teleconference could serve that purpose?
Murray McKercher Toronto:I agree with Garth, a pre-meeting would be a great idea
Loris Taylor:No worries Sarah. I am learning the ropes too.
Sarah Alkire:Since I was new and just experienced it, I can brainstorm some ideas. Maybe some others who were new can do that with me as well.
Heidi Ullrich:ICANN 51 Meeting is scheduled for October 12-17
Seth Reiss:Back
Glenn McKnight:Yes
Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):Reached out with proposal for ISOC-San Francisco Bay to help organize as we are the closest chapter to the LA event
Konstantin Kalaitzidis (SFBayISOC):will coordinate with Glenn and others
Heidi Ullrich:ICANN 51 website: http://la51.icann.org/en/

Heidi Ullrich:Marrakesh was annouonced as the Feb 2015 location
Terri Agnew:ICANN future meetings website: http://meetings.icann.org/calendar
Heidi Ullrich:Please note that additional NARALO leadership positions would not provide an additional travel support slot.
Glenn McKnight:The idea is that 1 out of three trips given to someone else
Glenn McKnight:this gives 2 trips for three people
Joly MacFie:There is a precedent. We sent Dharma to Buenos Aires.
Ogi Mitev:Great idea Garth!
Glenn McKnight:Yes we have a history.
Glenn McKnight:The secretary and chair will stagger
Heidi Ullrich:Pleasae keep in mind that the AC/SO Leadership Orientation will take place in LA immediately prior to ICANN 51.

Glenn McKnight:Attend every meeting and provide reports
Terri Agnew:Evan Leibovitch has joined audio
Murray McKercher Toronto:I also feel strongly we should be engaging with the Mobile community so support Judith's suggestion
Glenn McKnight:IETF next week in Toronto
Glenn McKnight:We need to encourage the CROPP submissions for these events. First a discussion on the merits of attending these meetings
Loris Taylor:Are these suggested confernces listed somewhere on our wiki?
Joly MacFie:The Plane HOPE is this weekend in NYC - ISOC will webcast
Glenn McKnight:As Darlene has mentioned numerious times we need these trips to have a clear outreach strategy and allignment with CROPP
Joly MacFie:Planet HOPE = Hackers on planet earth
Terri Agnew:Stephanie Perrin has joined audio
Glenn McKnight:@ Hi Stephanie
Heidi Ullrich:Thanks, Glenn. We'll note this
Joly MacFie:http://x.hope.net/

Heidi Ullrich:@Glenn, sure. Should we first have a call for membership of the WG and set up a Workspace?
Glenn McKnight:@yes
