Questions received:

  • In your presentation you touched on the expectations of users based on the semantics of gTLDs, and as you know we had raised an issue with the Board along with the GAC that was delegated to be looked at by the Review Team and by the GNSO. Did you explicitly look at any of those regulated TLDs where the registries have said they are not going to do anything, that they are treating as completely open TLDs. Was there any real focus made on that substance?
  • ICANN WDPRS (the complaint system) not only can be theoretically but has in fact been gained by criminals. The system has already been defeated and criminals have figured out how to keep sites online, but fundamentally the problem is that the system as it exists cannot anticipate the complexity of human behavior and changes in data. ICANN ticketing system seems to be focused on closing tickets and not issuing resolutions. In your experience, do you believe that ICANN's core enforcement is actually prepared to deal with those complex issues at the top level?
  • Based on your current report, do you think it gives some level of indication in favor or against a new round of new gTLD anytime soon?
  • There were only few applications outside of Europe and North America, do you think there is going to be any kind of process in place if or when there are new rounds and will there be some prioritization for these regions?
