  Kelvin Wong:right

Satish Babu:I was fortunate to attend both APrIGF 2016 and APIGA 2016. Both were great programmes and very good examples of communities working with ICANN at the regional level. I hope these initiatives continue in future as well.

  Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):Agree totally Satish

Pam Little:<Questions> In terms of capacity building, how do you meansure success? <Quesiton>

Pam Little:But is under-participation or under-representation a problem with "capacity" or something else?

  Pam Little:Thanks, Kelvin.

Maureen Hilyard:Hi all, I attended the APrIGF It was a great opportunity to network and to enhance my understanding of what is important in the region overall - especially my involvement in the development of the Synthesis Document. This has been a great initiative for getting input from across the region about what is important in the area of IG

Maureen Hilyard:Sorry my audio isn't working properly

Yannis Li:Thanks Maureen for your great contribution and hard work!

Pam Little:It's just now clear to me what capacity that is lacking from the region. Can you please elobarate.

Jia-Rong Low:"Capacity" in the context of areas such as APrIGF, requires building understanding (and confidence) of the issues. After capacity is built, people can feel more comfortable to participate.

Maureen Hilyard:@Yannis. Thank you.. but not as hard as the DotAsia Secretariat that week. Great input in all areas of organisation and session input

Jia-Rong Low:Of course 'capacity' can also be about building certain technical expertise. That area we are filling the gap with training to direct stakeholders, Network Operator Groups (NOGs) etc

  Pam Little:Thanks. Jia-Rong.

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO):I see what you mean Pam... a 'Gap Analysis' might be worthy of effort

Maureen Hilyard:+1 Jia Rong - being better informed raises confidence needed in order to participate

Jia-Rong Low:Thanks for the good question Pam :) It's an important area we're thinking about. We get so many requests in the region for capacity building

  Pam Little:Agree with Cheryl.

  Yannis Li:nice quote.

Holly Raiche:Very informative - thank you

  Pam Little:Thank you everyone.

Siranush Vardanyan:thanks you all, excellent presentations. Yannis and Kelvin
