Agenda:

  1. Welcome

  2. Factual concerns with the Initial Report

  3. Issues regarding the analysis and conclusion

    1. Questions from Alberto Soto:

      1. All Internet end-users with an interest in ICANN’s policy development remit will be able become involved in At-Large policy advice processes, removing the current requirement of membership of an At-Large Structure (ALS). - What are the different motivations that future individual users will have to achieve greater participation than current ALSs?

      2. RALO and ALAC leadership roles will be merged, with much greater emphasis placed on channelling end user input into WG processes within ICANN. - In case of this merger who, when and how will the training of the end users so that they can participate actively?

      3. There will no longer be an emphasis on internal At-Large WGs. - Will At-Large and ALSs disappear? Often these internal working groups deal with policy discussion, for example at the RALO level. And they are made up of personnel who have sufficient knowledge and then put it to the consideration of the RALO, as work elaborated and understandable for those who do not have all the necessary knowledge on that particular subject.

      4. Under the direction of the ALAC, ICANN staff to be more proactively engaged in support of the Community’s policy work, as well as providing essential administrative support. - How will that commitment be ensured? What will be different from the current situation?
