Since 2014, AFRALO used to participate actively in the Africa Internet Summit with the organization of workshops and thematic session, chairing or moderating sessions, dedicated booth, etc. Since this is the most important Internet event in Africa, all entities and individuals involved and/or interested in one aspect or another of Internet attend it. thus, this is a perfect opportunity for outreach. Over the few past years, AFRALO succeeded in convincing interesting entities to come to ICANN and become ALSes. The IAS is the best place for promoting multi-stakeholder models of ICANN in Africa.

This year, AFRALO will continue participating actively in the Summit, and my participation aims at trying to attract more people to become involved in ICANN by informing them about its mission and activities, explaining the merit of becoming At-Large member and providing them with promotional materials.

I will also keep the AFRALO Booth during the breaks, and contribute to the AFRALO session that is intended to increase the visibility and credibility of ICANN and AFRALO.

11) Additional Information (optional):

  • Promotional Materials which include AFRALO Pull up Banner, printing of invitation postcards, AFRALO Fliers, Tee shirt if possible.
  • Shipping of Materials to the Hotels
