Outreach Plan Description and Details: | NPOC's Outreach Strategic plan consists of several layers. Empowerment: Providing a voice for NGO's and Civil Society in Internet Governance. Transparency: Ensure the widest possible dissemination of information on Internet policies and operational issues that affect global users of digital communication technologies. Capacity Building: NPOC and its partners create capacities that enable individuals and communities to engage with and to participate in IG. Development and Sustainability: NPOC and its partners create capacities and opportunities that allow as Not-for-Profit organizations to take the fullest advantage of the DNS for community based just economic development. Based upon the above, several events have been organised during previous fiscal years. In collaboration with some of our members, we are deploying the Pathfinder Initiative through out every region by organising webinars, specific events. Aside, NPOC officers are engaged in participation in conferences and events directly related to the DNS, especially in regions where NGO's need more assistance in the usage and awareness of the DNS. During the fiscal year 2016 focus will essentially be on awareness and capacity building. |
