11) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

Content Guidelines (click here)

The International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting is the largest international gather of trademark owners and brand advocates in the world.

On the agenda are several topics relevant to the work of the IPC, including brand protection post-GDPR and INTA internet committee discussions on ongoing ICANN PDPs such as Rights Protection Mechanism Review, New gTLD Subsequent Procedures and Next Generation RDS.

The IPC has worked with INTA to secure a time and space for an IPC outreach event (Wednesday, March 23), to increase awareness and participation by demonstrating the critical importance of ICANN issues, and IPC advocacy to this prospect-rich group.

Brian, in his role as IPC Participation Coordinator and in his capacity as a member of the IPC Outreach and Engagement Committee will be working with IPC Secretary, Kiran Malancharuvil to coordinate and perform IPC outreach events (including the meeting on Wednesday, March 23) and speaking opportunities at INTA (including to the INTA Internet Committee).  Kiran and Brian are disseminating copies of the IPC's new factsheet to share with participants with the purposes of increasing awareness and networking with potential IPC members. This fact sheet can be viewed at: http://www.ipconstituency.org/assets/Fact-Sheets/ipc_onepager_2018%20(2).pdf.
