Trip Assessment Form

1) Describe how the original Purpose and Goals were accomplished:

We participated in the Internet Number Resources Management Training which was organized by AfriNIC. The objective of this training was to enable AFRALO's leadership understand and appreciate the role of the regional internet registry, in particular the importance of the policy development process and how to take part in it. Details of our INRM are available at : http://learn.afrinic.net/index.php/learn-modules/inrm.

After the training session, we had a full session with the AFRINIC head of membership services Arthur NGUESSAN. The objective of this session is to understand how the Africa Network Information Center operates with respect to serving the Internet Community in Africa and the role of the Africa Regional At Large Organization in educating Internet Users on AfriNIC policy development process.

2) Describe how the original Outcomes were achieved:

It was noted that AFRALO can be an important vehicle for the community of Internet users it represents. This is a crucial point, because it will allow users who are an important community in the discussion of the policies of Internet and to be more actively and more engaged in particular in the Regional Internet Registries Policy development.

We commit to transmit the knowledge and information received to all AFRALO members through a serial of webinars to be organized during the first quarter of 2015.
